Sali Thank you for your brilliant review. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay in Ty Coed and our beautiful unspoilt area and hope that it will encourage more people to come and explore it.
Cosy well equipped lodge. Fantastic views all around. Quite rural so don't forget to pick up what you need before you get there. Shower was hot and beds were comfortable. The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. Would recommend as a great base for visiting the area.

I aim to equip Ty Coed to a high standard. We are onb the side of the beautiful Tanat Valley and do have fantastic views from the verandah which are ever changing with the seasons. The night skies are incredible dark as there is no light polution from other properties. We are about 1.5 miles from Llanrhaeadr YM which has a Spar shop, another general store, newsagents and butchers. Penybont Fawr is also a similar distance away with a village shop. Both villages have places to eat and takeways.

A peaceful retreat
What a find and only two hours from home.Well-appointed accommodation , set in a beautiful and tranquil setting. An excellent place to relax and recharge your batteries with masses of beautiful scenery in every direction. And to top it all, the most kind and welcoming family in Rosemary, Rex and not forgetting Robert, a delightful young man. We will most certainly return, that is a cast-iron promise !

A lovely place to stay in Wales
Ty Coed which means Wooden House as explained by Rosemary, is certainly a most welcoming little place one can get in the countryside. It is equipped with all the necessary amenities and more. We were four and we never felt cramped. It was always nice and warm when we got back from our numerous outings. Rosemary made us feel very welcome and often checked to see whether we were lacking in anything. The Chalet is well positioned to be quite near a few pubs which also serve good food.
We made full use of that ! The distance to various places of interest was short and so extremely convenient. Coming from abroad we absolutely loved the view from the terrace and windows as well as the tranquil scene of the sheep grazing around the area. We were blessed with good weather and the sunsets were amazing.
All in all we were very happy with the house and certainly recommend it to others.

Laurence,
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all and that you enjoyed your stay at Ty Coed and exploring Wales. Thank you so much for leaving everything so tidy. I hope you will come again .
Rosemary
very nice cabin with an outdoor decking area overlooking the Welsh countryside. Comfy bed. As we were at the end of a 3 week holiday, we cooked in every night of our stay. 4 nights. Found the kitchen very well equipped with plenty crockery, cutlery and all utensils. Rosemary, the owner was very helpful telling us about places to visit. Enjoyed the local area very much. Highly recommended

Our beatiful area of mid wales is often overlooked by prospective visitors, but as you can see from the comments it really is worth a visit. I try to provide all the comforts we would want and believe a well fitted kitchen is important.
Could not speak highly enough of the chalet, lovely location (so peaceful), lovely host, and had everything in the chalet suited for a self catering break, will certainly be going back again.

Thak you so much for your review and we hope to welcome you back again.
We found this to be a perfectly comfortable chalet with lovely views across the valley. It's located to the side of the main farm house but set back a little so privacy isn't a major issue. Rosemary was very kind and friendly. We tended to drive into Snowdonia for our days out (1 hour for most attractions) but the Tanat valley also offered a fair bit to explore.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The chalet provided a lovely quiet getaway. Chirk Castle, The Ironwork Centre and Lake Vyrnwy within easy reach by car and well worth a visit.
