The home is one side of a duplex and sleeps 6 adults and 4 children. Sweet Beach Home Alabama is located directly on the beach. Just walk out the door and you are on right on the water! Sweet beach Home Alabama is pet-friendly for up to 2 dogs and features brand new furniture throughout!

About Sweet Beach Home Alabama

Sweet Beach Home Alabama is the West side of the duplex. The East side of the duplex is called The Sandtrap, a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom property, which is also managed by Harris Vacations.

From its cheerful turquoise exterior, to the coastal chic furniture inside, Sweet Beach Home Alabama is the perfect vacation home to make your Alabama Beach dreams come true! Outside, guests will find 3 private decks, one facing north and two with gorgeous, unobstructed gulf views. Enjoy the shaded first floor deck or soak up the sun on the upper level deck off the master. There is also plenty of space below the home for relaxing or enjoying a meal in the shade. Entering the home on the main floor, guests are greeted with comfortable new furniture in the living area and a gorgeous, open kitchen with a view! Along with the breathtaking view, the living room features a pull out sofa to sleep 2 guests, a comfortable seating area, and a large TV. The open kitchen and dining area are stocked with everything you need for preparing meals, seating for 6 at the table and 4 at the bar, and gleaming new granite countertops. 

Also on the main level, guests will find a hall bath with walk-in shower and a bedroom with a queen bed to sleep 2, a TV, and access to the private north facing balcony to enjoy the breeze. Upstairs features 2 more bedrooms. The first is the bunk room, which has a set of full sized bunk beds with a pull-out trundle to sleep a total of 4. This room also features a TV and cute kid-sized seating to enjoy a movie after a day at the beach!  A Jack and Jill bathroom with a walk in shower connects the bunk room to the master bedroom. The spacious master has a king sized bed and TV but the crown jewel is the private sun deck outside! Guests will love the lounge chairs and unbeatable views from the second floor balcony! 

In addition to the amazing location and refreshed interior, pets are welcome at Sweet Beach Home Alabama!

Very clean, kitchen was stocked great for whatever your needs are. Close to town etc. It was great! Just note if you are handicap the stairs are very steep like bad knees, hips I made it at a snails pace. Living room furniture needs to be updated. Overall it was great. Would stay again.

The king size bed in the master bedroom is past its life expectancy. There is no box springs and the bed is broke down to the point it needs replaced. Squeaks very bad when you move. The porch outside of the master bedroom could use taller seats to see over the rail and view the ocean. The house was nice besides that. We enjoyed the location and the house.

New Year’s Eve at Gulf Shores

This was a fantastic 3-bd, 2-ba right on the beach! The only complaint I have is that the kitchen had zero supplies - no cooking oil, no salt, no pepper, absolutely nothing. I don’t expect a whole spice rack, but I do expect those basics. Otherwise a great property!

Great vacation place

We had a great stay here. Beautiful two-story duplex right on the beach. Two decks overlooking beach and ocean. Many good places to eat and little grocery stores nearby. Shopping close also. Would rent again. .

Great beach week!

Location was great. Love the easy beach access! The rating drop from a 5 is due to cleanliness of the downstairs bathroom which needs some maintenance attention. (Note for owners awareness: There was mold in the shower grout and caulking. The toilet cut off valve has a drywall hole instead of plated. Oh! The exterior hardy board is in need of recaulking.) although I could see these needed repairs they were not detrimental to my visit just wanted to make sure owner is aware. The house is roomy well laid out and convenient to awesome white sands and near restaurants and other places of interest. We did a dolphin watching boat tour. Make no mistake even though I am making some constructive criticism I would definitely recommend and go back to this house.

Tired property

The duplex is in a great location it just needs tlc. Like getting there at night and the stairway light doesn’t work. Hard to find the door. The upstairs bathroom still had small rocks on the floor prior to us coming. Tile was molding and separating from wall. It was accurate in the listing but has nothing like salt, pepper, coffee filters... The communications were mainly when to be out and penalties if we didn’t wash dishes and put garbage outside. Stairways are steep. We were less than impressed. It was rated a three because of the beach and location.

For the price, it needs some finesse.

Pros: Very easy to check in to the property, plenty of seating. Right on the beach, just cross over the dunes and you’re there. Air conditioner worked well. Lots of fans in the house as well if you needed them. Wi-Fi was fine for our group. Cons: pet friendly but there is no safe area on site for potty breaks due to the sand spurs. We were able to walk across the road to some soft grass, but the sand spur learning was an awful experience for me and the pups. All the steps are an unusual pitch or steepness. Seating inside was plentiful, but not comfortable. Lots of finish work inside the home was incomplete - primary balcony upstairs has 2 different color paint, hole visible around the fan in the primary bedroom. For the price, it needs some finesse and better finish work. Also, towel hooks in all rooms would be nice.

Old, dirty, run down

The only positive about this property is that the beach is in your backyard, just over a fairly steep sandune, but the view is breathtaking. First impression… super steep steps to get to door and enter code (where the light was not on at night and ended up being burnt out or inoperable. When you walk in… the smell of mold, must, & urine knocks you out. Walls, railings, doors, bed frames, appliances, curtains, curtain rods, blinds, air vent covers, seat cushions, slipcovers, couch pillows (& more) were all dingy, grimy, sticky, and/or stained. Peeled and chipped paint, holes in walls, balcony doors that are really hard to get opened and lock or unlock. Window frames are all ancient and covered with rust, mold, cobwebs, bugs. The house is on stilts and not level. Large ceramic Floor tiles are popping up and cracked. Appliances are probably from the 80s or 90s. They probably work, but they are gross and rusty. Underneath all cabinetry in kitchen there are baseboards that look mushy from water damage. I didn’t want to touch them and find out. I would be curious to see if it passed a mold inspection. Asbestos? I hope somebody demo’s this house and rebuilds, b/c the location is great. We literally did not even stay there one night. My kids have allergies and asthma and was not going to risk asthma attacks in the middle Of the night. Told Harris Prop of our concerns and never heard back from a prop mngr. Luckily I was able to find a room at a hotel. Waaayy overpriced too!

Great Property-Great Service

We had a family of 4 plus grandparents stay on this property over Easter Weekend. The location was perfect and had all the amenities we would need for in the house and accessories necessary to enjoy the beach. Easy, quick stroll as the beach was in the backyard. In addition, this property had several food options and grocery options within 15 minutes drive.With all these great features, the ease of check in and check out was worth mentioning. And on to the real reason we decided to write a review. On a Saturday, we noticed the AC wasn't working properly which was cause for concern. However, after making a phone call to after hours maintenance, they had a technician on the way to alleviate the problem within an hour. There was clear communication from the AC tech with their plan and all was resolved by the time got back from dinner. We left very happy and the kids have already started asking when we get back. Our experience was great and we will be returning. Thanks!

Amazing Vacation

The house was perfect. The location was far enough away from all the heavy traffic but only 10 minutes from all the restaurants and attractions. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. It was absolutely spotless and enough nice towels and linens. We had a perfect beautiful view of the beach from the upper and lower decks. We couldn’t have been happier. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

Fall Break Stay

Great location, good for our dog. The privacy was nice, both in the duplex and the beach. The only downside was the master bed was upstairs and had to share a bathroom with the bunk room. We loved the decks! We would definitely stay there again.
