This is our second stay at the house and the location and house are the best there is. From your door to the beach and no cars on the beach so that makes a huge difference. We will return! Thank you for being such an excellent host.

Ample space, right on the beach awesome view, A/C did a fine job close enough to everything in Galveston but far enough to get away. We really enjoyed the No Cars on beach area although there’s car beach parking on both sides of the beach from it’s plenty far enough it’s completely acceptable. View of the sunrise each morning was fantastic although there’s a television in every bedroom and living area we never watched them. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back our stay was the last 4 nights of August 2026 excluding Sunday night.

Great property, had 2 and 4 year old grandsons that loved the place! We flew kites, built sand castles, hunted crabs at night, and made memories for a lifetime. This property was perfect as we were basically on the beach. I could drink coffee on the deck and enjoy the unobstructed view of the beach, my favorite part. The house was really a perfect match, very clean, in great shape, had beach going shade tent, toys, everything so you don’t need to bring anything. Don’t hesitate if you are thinking about it!

We enjoyed our time and appreciated the property and location. Our main critique is the exterior needs a serious paint job. The pictures do not fairly represent the property. We understand the salt conditions take a beating on homes but it could use a little love to justify the price.

Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay, appreciated the property, and its beachfront location! We certainly appreciate the suggestion that the property could use some additional exterior attention, and we will take that into consideration. However, we feel it is important to distinguish between normal coastal wear and a property being inaccurately represented. The exterior is shown in the listing photos, and we believe the listing provided a fair and accurate representation of what guests were booking. A home located directly on the beach will naturally show the effects of its environment. Salt air, intense sun, wind, and moisture are relentless on exterior paint and finishes, even with regular care and maintenance. Maintaining a beachfront home is very different from maintaining a property inland, and expecting the exterior to remain looking freshly painted at all times is simply not realistic in this environment. We’re glad you enjoyed your time here. Thanks again for staying with us!

Wonderful Stay and Exceptional HostWe had a fantastic stay and couldn't have felt more welcome. Peggy has thought of everything, from charging stations and well-stocked kitchen and bath supplies to books, puzzles, games, beach towels, and detailed guest information. Every detail reflected her care and hospitality.The check-in and check-out process was easy and stress-free, and Peggy was incredibly responsive before and during our stay. We were also delighted to meet her in person and appreciated all of her local recommendations. She was absolutely right about Sean's kayak tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip!The home itself is spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the three balcony chairs and on the porch swing. The location was excellent, and thoughtful touches like the downstairs security cameras, motion-sensor lighting, and conveniently placed outdoor hoses made the property feel both comfortable and secure.Most importantly, the home made it easy for our group to relax, unwind, and spend quality time together. We made wonderful memories and truly felt cared for throughout our stay.We would happily stay here again and highly recommend Peggy's home to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped beach getaway.

We truly loved our stay. The house is located right on the beach, and the view is amazing. We enjoyed visiting on the deck while feeling the breeze and watching the waves break for hours. Inside, the house is beautiful. The open-concept living room, kitchen, and dining areas made cooking and spending time together even more enjoyable, especially with all the ocean views from the many windows. The house was very clean and stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Our host was communicative, kind, and made the check-in process very easy. We definitely will return to this house in the future.

The location and view from this house was wonderful! We loved being able to sit on the patio/deck and watch the beach. They provided a lot of amenities in the house and kitchen which made it easy on us! However we had a few issues with things needing to be updated on the house. During a rain storm we had several leaks in the roof. We notified the hosts and they mentioned they would get it fixed. I hope they do! When it was really windy outside we could feel the house swaying which made some of our guests uneasy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a great time at the beach!

Thanks for the stay and for the review. The swing is normal as the beach house is built on pilings and designed to move along with strong winds- that’s what makes its structure resilient for our coastal weather. The leaks turned out to be with a couple of windows where the window ACs are. We have sealed them better. Thank you for drying out the floor for us.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights. It is located in The Spanish Grant Neighborhood which is in the West Side of Galveston and very safe! The views are absolutely stunning! You can literally walk a few steps right to the beach! The beach is secluded and it basically feels like your own private beach; which is awesome! The bottom floor has a nice large deck with a large outdoor table to eat on. They have multiple water hoses to rinse off with after the beach and even an outdoor shower in the shed! The 2nd floor deck has a nice wood swing and also multiple chairs to sit on and enjoy the stunning views. It was especially nice sitting outside at night and enjoy the sound of the waves and the nice breeze. My 2 toddlers loved the swing!The inside of the house is very beautiful and I want to emphasize that it is VERY clean, especially the bathrooms and tubs/showers which is a big deal for me. I've stayed at other properties and the tubs/show weren't the cleanest, so I appreciate how clean these were! They have TV's in every room, nice large fridge, large and amazing views throughout the house! The house felt really homey!My only two suggestions would be to add blinds at the entry door for night time and the exterior could use a fresh paint job.Lastly, I was to thank Peggy for being a great host and very communicative from the time of booking and throughout the entire stay. She really has done an amazing job here and we would definitely stay here again! Thank you! 10/10!

Incredible beach house. This was our second stay on this property, so it's quickly becoming "our" place when in Galveston. You cannot beat the views, or proximity to beach side sitting. A mere few steps! The home is beautiful and stocked so well you nearly need not bring a thing for bedding, toiletries, cooking etc. The host, Peggy, is amazing and communication is prompt and clear. You will not regret booking this property, and it likely become your go to place in Galveston as well!

The house was great, right on the beach and had all the amenities. We will be back! Highly recommended and the areas is very FAMILY friendly! Created very nice memories! The family of rabbits living in the neighborhood was cute for the kiddos! No natural predators there, just storks and gulls.

Million Dollar location and view. Inside cozy, well stocked and great appliances. Being on non-driving part of beach felt like private beach 75% of the time. A coat of paint on outside/deck and it should be the #1 rental in the neighborhood. Sunrise awesome. Late night seeing many ships lined up in the distance to get to the port was amazing. Again, views were amazing!Would 100% enjoy this location again.

View and location are really hard to beat. It's far enough off the main highway that road noise is not an issue which can be with a lot of the homes. Four mile drive from the end of the seawall. Not our first stay here. The host responded quickly to any questions within minutes.
