Cleanliness and location were the best part of the cabin. The view was beautiful and the home itself was meticulously upkept inside and out. We enjoyed the wildlife and greenery surrounding the property. Terry, as a host, was welcoming and informative. She was very easy to get ahold of and generous with toiletries within the cabin.
Great location between Bozeman &Livingston/Paradise Valley to explore the area. Very clean, friendly host. Perfect for a couple using as basecamp to check out the area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the views were amazing! We saw wildlife every day on our drive in and out and Terry was the best host ever! She greeted us when we arrived, showed us the cabin and suggested things to do and see in the area. She even shared the best places to see Buffalo in Yellowstone! We would definitely stay again when in the area!
Trip was amazing. Terry was awesome. Cabin was so nice, we enjoyed the entire trip from the minute we landed. Montana has some amazing scenery, Yellowstone National Park is a Great place to see. We look forward to going back.
Located perfectly just off the beaten path yet short drive to Livingston or Bozeman. Very clean, has amenities needed for extended stay if necessary. Great views and lots of wildlife added to overall great experience. Thanks Terry for being a great host.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Frank and Terry's cabin in the mountains. They are both very friendly and accommodating. We were in the area visiting our son and family who came up to see our cute lodging and were welcomed with open arms. We had all the comforts of home during our stay.
Went with my mom after a tough time. Loved the warm welcome, beautiful cabin and absolutely breath taking views. Wild life, panoramic sky and the kindest host in the whole world. Thank you!
Was located at the top of a mountain. Awesome views. Terry was there to meet us and gave us the property specifics. 1st day had a moose walk 15 feet from the cabin. Beautiful property and super nice host. Definitely would stay here again!
This was a great place to stay a little way out of town between Bozeman and Livingston. It is a mountain setting with a fabulous view. The accommodations were new and very clean. The owners are helpful and were very friendly hosts. I would stay here again, and I would recommend it to friends. Sit on the awesome porch swing and enjoy the view.
Terry and her husband were wonderful hosts, even calling when the local moose paid a visit so we could see him out the window. The cottage was clean, wonderfully decorated and had everything you would need and the view - breathtaking! Be sure to take time to sit in the swing and look out over the valley. This location sits about half way between Bozeman and Livingston. The access road is right off of I-90. Our car rental was a Corolla and it handled the road fine but an SUV would probably be better. The location is somewhat remote but worth the 8-10 minute drive if that's your style. Coming from Bozeman, google maps had us get off at exit 319 onto a frontage road. It then had us take a dirt road up the mountain that on the google map looks like it is the straighter route but it is narrow and not well maintained. It was an adventure in the Corolla! It you will go a bit farther east to Mountain Brook road (the same as the address) you will find a wide, well maintained dirt road up to the venue lined by many homes that access that road. It has more curves but is not a problem to drive. We loved our stay and will definitely revisit.

Rocky Mountain Retreat was for us an experience that I do not wish to have again. Here's some things you should know:
* The location is beautiful and quiet but remote. It's 15 minutes from I90 on a 15-mph gravel road and another 15 minutes to Bozeman depending on regular summer road construction.
* Host expects you to check-in in-person! If something comes up that keeps you from being able to arrive in the evening you will need to find another place to stay, which could be difficult and costly night of - it was for us.
* The cabin is above and to the side of a detached garage of the owner/host's home. While the cabin is private it's not like a place to yourself.
* There is no available Internet service, and some cell phone providers have marginal coverage, which can make some things in 21st century difficult.
* The cabin is clean and fairly new inside but we killed 20-29 moths each evening upon arrival (with or without screened windows closed), primarily in the bedroom and another 7-10 moths in the morning. While they didn't bite, they were a bothersome nuisance and really distracted from the tranquility. This problem needs fixing. The moths seem to come from two main areas, where floor meets wall and lower log half wall meets upper sheet rocked half wall. There's also some type of apparent poison being sprayed in the bedroom automatically occasionally until your arrival time and the device is turned off.
