Amazing Place to Stay
Cindi was very welcoming. She was always available if we needed anything. During the week she washed our sheets and towels. We were able to walk to the Riverwalk within 5-10 minutes.

peaceful, bird song
From the moment of our arrival, the care with which our host had taken to prepare an oasis for a weary traveler was immediately obvious. Tastefully appointed in rustic "ol' San Antonio" style, the "casita" (as she referred to the space) has all the ambiance an ideal, singularly private, artist studio. Cindi is an extraordinarily warm and gracious host, and we feel very fortunate to have been her guests.

I have spent my entire life in Texas from North to South. I moved to San Antonio in 1997 and spent 20 years in the bicycle retail business. Cycling is a passion of mine. I moved downtown in 2014 and fell in love with the urban lifestyle. My family and I walk everywhere and enjoy the food and entertainment afforded to us all along the river. We love to cycle along the Mission Reach trail which goes past all the historic Missions. The Mission Reach now has a world heritage designation and is a real gem for San Antonio.
I live on the property and really enjoy hosting visitors from all corners of the world. San Antonio is a great place to live and visit.

Why they chose this property

I moved to this property in 2014 because I wanted to live in an urban area with a small footprint. I wanted to be able to walk to many destinations and ride by bicycle to a bike path right from my house. My neighborhood is called Lavaca and I have terrific neighbors, many of them multi-generational.
We enjoy a simple lifestyle surrounded by history.

What makes this property unique

My property is small and full of charm. The main house was built in 1890 yet the additions are very perfect balance of old and new. The backyard is my favorite spot with a beautiful view of the Tower of America. We have an outdoor dining table, pool, ping pong and a Chimenea fireplace with pinon wood ( smells heavenly) for those cooler evenings. Very peaceful and quiet right in the heart of downtown.
