Quiet Cabin With a Creek Nearby - Wildlife and Mountain Views
Your Yellowstone Basecamp for Wildlife, Adventure, and Wide-Open Montana Beauty
If your perfect Montana getaway means waking up surrounded by mountains, watching wildlife wander through the landscape, and spending your days exploring creeks, trails and Yellowstone's wilderness, this cabin is for you. This is a peaceful, nature-immersed retreat where you can step outside and instantly feel connected to the land. Guests regularly spot deer, fox, birds, and other wildlife right from the property. The quiet, scenic surroundings make it easy to slow down and take it all in.
Whether you're here to hike, fish, photograph wildlife, explore Yellowstone, or simply breathe in the fresh mountain air, this cabin offers the perfect base camp. Come back after a day of adventure to a warm, cozy space where you can relax, refuel, and enjoy the calm of Montana evenings. It's a comfortable, private place to unwind, recharge, and truly experience the beauty of the outdoors.
This 1,040 square ft log cabin, built in 2019, is located in the old mining town of Jardine, just 5.5 miles up a county maintained dirt road from Gardiner, Montana - and worth all fifteen minutes of the drive to get here. Cabin 2, along with our other three cabins, sits on just over 12 acres of private property that borders national forest land. You'll be hard pressed to find a more comfortable, cozy space than this one.
The old Jardine mine site is part of the beautiful and unique mountain views you'll see while you sip your morning coffee or tea from the back patio, as well as being able to see and hear Bear Creek! Soak in the spring flowers and Montana sunsets over the ridge out front. If you prefer your walks without the crowds of Yellowstone, there are also great hiking trails just a short walk from the front door. We'll leave you a can of bear spray to borrow while you're out exploring the area.

We loved staying at this beautiful cabin. It was really clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch listening to the water rushing in the creek.

Thank you for the feedback! Definitely, porch sitting listening to the creek in the summer is one of our absolute favorite things about living up here! Come back again!
Wonderful cabin next to a creek. Super clean and comfortable. We especially loved the large decks to hang out on. Our family liked the fact it is set outside the town, felt remote yet only 15 min to town. Our Travato easily drove on the unpaved part of the road. The views from the way there are spectacular!!The hosts left the excellent directions and check in and out was easy. Overall, an amazing place to stay and relax. We would love to be back one day!

Thank you for choosing Bear Creek Cabins! We hope to host your family again!
We loved staying at this cabin during our Yellowstone trip. It’s tucked away in the mountains, offering a peaceful setting, yet still close enough to town for dinner or an early start into the park. The creek out back was a highlight and added to the relaxing atmosphere. While there are a few nearby cabins and homes, the property still maintains a cozy, camp like feel. A great choice if you’re looking for a quiet mountain escape with convenient access to town.

Thank you for booking with us! Come back again soon!
We had a great winter vacation at the cabin. The location near Yellowstone was great, and the landscape was beautiful. We saw mule deers running on the hills around the house.

Thank you for the feedback! We're glad you had a nice getaway!
We are a retired couple from NH. This was our fifth trip to Yellowstone National Park. In the past we had accommodations near West Yellowstone. For this seven day trip we were looking for a house/cabin near the North Entrance of YNP since we planned on spending more time along the Upper Loop of the park and the Lamar Valley.Bear Creek Cabin 2 is one of three identical contemporary log cabins in Jardine, MT. It is only 5.5 miles/20 minutes from Gardiner, MT and the YNP North Entrance via a well-maintained gravel road. The cabin has porches front and back for outdoor relaxation and dining. Bear Creek can be heard flowing just beyond the cabin. The front entryway opens into a living room/kitchen area with private ensuite bedrooms to the left and right. The nicely equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare meals for dining-in or for snacks/lunches to take on the road. There is a 65 inch Smart TV in the living room with multiple streaming channels. A Marshall bluetooth speaker allows you to play your favorite music from your phone or tablet. The beds were very comfortable, allowing for a good night’s sleep after exploring YNP and the Jardine/Gardiner area during the day.Bear Creek Cabin 2 was the perfect home base for this week-long trip to Yellowstone National Park. We plan to reserve it (or one of the other two cabins) for our next trip to the park. Thanks to Julie and Andrew for a great stay in Jardine.

The cabin was amazing!! I am so happy we rented this cabin. We had 2 couples, and it was perfect. It was clean it had everything you ever could have wanted. It was so close to Yellowstone we went to the park a few times. Just sitting on the porch was awesome. Big plus was the washer and dryer. Rent the cabin!!
It was absolutely wonderful and beautiful. Big covered porches, with the sound of the creek flowing. We had a great time! We saw a lot of Elk driving up the cabin.
