The closer we got to the cabin the better the views got!! So glad we stayed here. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions to get the most out of our trip. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!
We had an awesome experience at Walking Deer. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything you could possibly need was provided for you inside the cabin. The cabin was spotless and cozy. The grounds were well kept and landscaped beautifully. The mountainous terrain surrounding the area was breathtaking and there is more to do around the area than can be done in one week. We hope to return and stay for a longer period of time in the future. We loved the time we spent at this location.
We arrived late on the night we checked in. They had the outside light on for us! We so appreciated this thoughtfulness. The place was clean. It had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. The first morning my husband and I looked outside to see a doe and her fawn on the front yard. The scenery was beautiful. It was easy to get to Cody from there and the owners were friendly and had wonderful information to share. We are already talking about coming back again.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is in a short, 12-mile drive from Cody but not too remote. It's really clean and well-maintained. The owner is friendly and encouraged us to walk around on the property. He gave some great information about where to see animals. The only thing we are not happy about is we had pre-paid for 7 nights however, had to check out a day earlier. We gave several days advance notice of this. Apparently, the property manager felt no obligation to refund even a partial amount for that day and they chose not to do so.
My husband and two kids stayed at this property for a week while we visited Yellowstone, The Grand Tetons, and Cody, WY. The place was very clean and spacious. We had enough room to spread out at the end of the day, enough room to cook, and enough room to lounge in the living room. Overall, our stay was fabulous and the owners were great and the dogs were friendly. If you like the outdoors and a quiet atmosphere, rent this place, you won't be sorry. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Best location and hosts for any trip to Yellowstone. Cabin is immaculate the host are awesome! And the views and location is amazing. Our next trip out there we will be staying there again!
Everything about the place was welcoming. The owners were so nice, the view was awesome & it was so quiet. We would stay there again. We went to Yellow Stone, it was a bit of a drive but there was a lot to see including a moose before we even got into the park!!
This place was everything we expected. The pictures of the interior and exterior are up to date. Everything worked and bed was comfortable. We were offered and accepted the farm fresh eggs. Very cozy and quiet, it was a perfect place to set up for our Cody stay.
The location is beautiful and a short drive into Cody. The owners were very nice, gave us fresh eggs. You can walk the property to stretch out your legs if you wish. The only negative is the 2cd bedroom is small though the master bedroom is huge. This was not a problem for us but may be for others. I thought the price was good for what you got. If you stay I would suggest driving to big horn and going on the boat ride there, Hidden Treasure Charters. It is gorgeous, pictures gives it no justice!!!
Absolutely gorgeous property!! Convenient location with everything you need and then some!! The owners are so very nice and accommodating who make you feel right at home. We loved our time there and can't say enough good!! Thank you for everything!!!
We enjoyed our stay so much that we were late leaving for Yellowstone! Walking around the beautiful property to see wildlife, playing croquet, and grilling out in the beautiful yard are all memories we will carry with us. The owners were so welcoming and friendly.
This beautiful cottage was the ideal vacation hideaway for our family. Not too far out of town, but just far enough to let your mind relax & truly enjoy the breathtaking views that surrounded the property. The inside was absolutely perfect for what we needed. It was neat, clean & provided all the necessities (plenty of clean towels, bedding & kitchen utensils). All we needed were groceries & drinks. We had the joy of meeting the property owners, and they truly made us feel at home (especially their dog & chickens, who our son loved at first sight). We hope to stay here again in the future, and would recommend it to all our friends & family.
