Delightful sunny holiday cottage with 1 bedrooms and sofa bed in lounge. The cottage has a wood burning stove, combination microwave oven, electric hob, dishwasher, fridge and fully equipped galley kitchen. Tiled toilet and shower room. Guests have the use of the large garden with tables, chairs and BBQ. Freezer space in garage as well as storage for sports equipment, bikes etc.

Quiet rural getaway

Lovely cottage in a rural location. Owners were friendly and helpful. Cottage was clean and we were close to several coastal locations.

Great holiday apartment

Lovely property, bright, airy but cosy even in a gale! All facilities as described in good order and clean. Owners away whilst we were there but great communication/directions prior to arrival. And less than 10 minutes to the coast!

Cottage loft was clean and cozy. The complimentary bottle of wine was much appreciated. Only issue was that soap and shampoo are not provided in bathroom and while there is a dishwasher, there is no dish cloth , sponge or paper towel to clean counter or odd dishes.

Beautiful location. Excellent accommodation easy access to local area and beyond.

Lovely property everything we needed peaceful and relaxing. Really nice welcome package on arrival was most welcome. Visited some beautiful places Cove Harbour a little gem, St Abbs and White Sands beautiful. Jim and Ethel made us feel most welcome at the cottage. Spent 7 lovely in Scotland days that we throughly enjoyed😊

Ideal relaxing location

We enjoyed a lovely relaxing 4 night break staying in the loft apartment - the facilities were just as described and the location was ideal for exploring the Borders area and the Northumberland coastline. We were greeted by Jim and Ethel on arrival who gave us a quick tour of the apartment and showed us how everything worked. They also left us a lovely welcome hamper with homemade biscuits, free range eggs and wine which was a lovely gesture 😀 We would definitely recommend this place!

Lovely Loft

We enjoyed meeting Jim and Ethel. They were excellent hosts. The loft is perfect for a couple and is manageable for 4 people. The cottage is in a lovely part of the Eyemouth countryside and an easy trip to town and around the area for day trips. The people of Eyemouth are just lovely. The co-op is a nice little store where you can find just about anything you need in the way of food. Coldingham is a beautiful village just up the road from Eyemouth and is a quick trip from the cottage. The restaurants in Eyemouth are delicious. We didn't meet anyone that wasn't nice and accommodating. We loved our time at the cottage and in Eyemouth. We felt like family when we left. Highly recommend staying with Jim and Ethel at Alemill Cottages.

Peaceful dog friendly country location

This is a lovely one bedroom flat above a small ground floor studio, also rented out, and a double garage. The owners live in the main house next door. There is a section of lawn and garden furniture allocated to the flat, and parking space. It was a perfect stay. Communication with the owners was excellent from the start. They greeted us on arrival and showed us around. The flat has everything that you need. Very well equipped, spotless and tastefully decorated and furnished. It is actually a few miles and a drive away from the coastal town of Eyemouth, set in the countryside next to a farm. We found it to be a great base to explore the coastal towns and villages and even to venture into England to Lindisfarne. It was also perfect to just sit back, relax and enjoy the surrounding tranquility.

Gemütliches Cottage mit Garten

Wir waren im Loft des Häuschens sehr glücklich. Vom Bett aus wunderbarerBlick auf die schöne Landschaft. Die kleine Wohnung ist perfekt eingeteilt. Bei warmen Wetter kann man toll im Garten sitzen. Obwohl die Elektroheizung schönecvöllig ausreicht kann auch einen kleinen Schwedenofen nützen - super gemütlich und alles sehr sauber.

A great place to stay

The property and grounds are very well maintained by the owners, who were also on hand to welcome us on arrival. The additions of coffee, eggs and wine were a nice touch and the accommodation was really comfortable with good amenities. The cottage is situated in a quiet/rural spot which was great for exploring the area. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for an outdoors/relaxed break.

Anniversary Road Trip

We finished off our road trip around Scotland with two nights at the property and it was a perfect end to a great holiday. The accommodation was in a great rural location but within a few minutes drive to shops and amenities. The property was lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend and would happily stay here again.
