Comfy and cozy are we, at the river, my doggie and me. This Sliding Rock Cabin is situated directly on the ELLIJAY RIVER, and has it all; pool table, large screened porch for outside dining, gated deck, fenced yard, hot tub, fire pit, fireplace, and of course the music of the river. This Sliding Rock Cabin is an ADULT ONLY cabin (no guests under age 25) and please no cats. Dogs are welcome with no pet fees. The configuration of the deck/porch/fenced yard offers a secure area for your dog 3/4 of the way around the cabin. PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW.

First Floor: 2 king bedrooms and one bath (Shower/tub combo)
Second Floor: Game loft and bathroom (shower-no tub)

We encourage you to protect your vacation investment with a travel insurance of your choice.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULING/NO SHOW/EARLY DEPARTURE: Each cabin is privately owned and cancellations affect owners significantly. Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. No refunds, rebates, or compensation will be offered. WE STRONGLY SUGGEST PURCHASING VACATION RENTAL INSURANCE with your travel insurance of choice. Great stay!

The house was perfect for a group of four. We also had our four small dogs (note the front porch railing slots were wide enough that a small dog could fit through.) Very comfortable beds, clean and well stocked. We had a few issues with the hot tub jets and temps but still a lovely place.

Excellent Getaway

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. It was nice being secluded without being too far away from civilization. The drive to get to the cabin was a little daunting at first, but we got used to it. The nearby town of Ellijay has a very active downtown area filled with restaurants and small shops. We would definitely visit again.

Everything from sending you your paperwork to using all amenities was so user friendly.

The cleaning crew had everything set up so lovely for us, all amenities were so easy to use and they had a book that covered any question you could have. We enjoyed our 43 anniversary at the beautiful place right on the river.

Reviewer Comments: From booking our Cherokee Shoals Sliding Rock mountain vacation to check-out time, customer service and providing us with any necessary information was fantastic! We were given very specific driving directions which was extremely helpful due to arriving after dark. As we entered our cozy cabin, already lit up with welcoming Christmas lights, we immediately felt at home! Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of paradise where we could relax with our family dog, too! Upon daylight the first morning, it was evident that we were truly in paradise... the gorgeous setting on a flowing stream, we caught our first glimpse of the many deer that visited us everyday! We will be back soon!!!

We leave a bundle of towels for all guests which is 2 bath, 2 hand and 2 wash cloths per person plus 2 dish towels, dish cloth and sponge along with a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towel roll, dishwasher pod, laundry pod, dog treats, coffee beans, filters, creamer, sugar to get you started on your vacation. The cabin is quiet, tucked away and nestled right on the river. We had a lot of deer who visited throughout the day which was a treat. I could even tell my dog was more relaxed than usual.
