Breathtaking studio suite perched at 1100 feet elevation in a residential neighborhood of tropical one acre estates, providing privacy, expansive 180 degree ocean views and cool breezes. Enjoy the peaceful sanctuary of your private lanai for sipping your favorite beverage while gazing at the fabulous coastal views and sunsets. You will find everything you need for your vacation or business stay.

The Songbird Suite is completely separated from our home by a breezeway with a private secure entrance and onsite parking at your doorstep.

We have everything you need for the beach, including plush beach towels, a beach umbrella, beach chairs, coolers, and snorkel gear.

We will most likely be here to greet you, show you around the property, answer questions and make sure you have everything you need for a wonderful Hawaiian holiday. If we are not at home you will be given easy access instructions prior to your arrival. Once you are settled in, your privacy will be highly respected. Should you need anything during your stay just call, text, email, or knock on our front door. We live on the property and are available if you need us.

Getting Around
Our quiet and peaceful one acre oasis is conveniently located away from the hustle and bustle of downtown, yet just minutes to the beaches, downtown Kona (5 miles), and the airport (7.8 miles).

There are a multitude of restaurants within a few minutes drive, as well as shopping and entertainment. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy easy access to the Honokohau Harbor and nearby park and recreation areas. Kailua Kona offers an abundance of activities year round for all ages and interests. Our farmer's markets, craft breweries, coffee shops, festivals, sporting and musical venues are plentiful. Be sure to check our Guidebook for suggestions.

Excellent central location to explore all the Big Island has to offer. We do recommend renting a car as public transportation is not available. Taxi cabs and limited private rideshare companies are available.

The perfect ohana

A wonderful property with a great host - she was incredibly helpful and friendly! Very accommodating as well. The apartment was sparkling clean and new, with a great shower and a thoughtfully stocked kitchenette. A helpful basket of assorted toiletries was nice to have on hand as well. She also left us a bowl of fruit and avocados from the property - yum! Highly, highly recommended.

An amazing stay 💚

The pictures don’t do it justice. The space was clean, spacious and in an amazing location offering great views of Kona and an unbeatable yard. The hosts went above and beyond to make the experience amazing.

Tasteful tranquility

Beautiful space. Expansive view of the ocean. Lovely grounds. The Songbird Suite is so tasteful, clearly done with love. Many amenities provided. Geckos, roosters, birds and even a bunny make this place even more special. Annette a lovely host. Hope we can return soon!!

Songbird suite - a great place to stay

The song bird suite was great, very clean and nice accommodations. It is in a quiet “safe feeling” neighborhood. The elevation provides for cool and comfortable evenings after a day at the beach. There is beach equipment for guest use as well. The owners were very responsive to any question or need we had. This is a great place with a reasonable price point for folks who don’t need a full kitchen. We would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful But Convenient

Songbird suite lives up to its name as a peaceful temperate oasis away from the highways and busy town center but still close to all the north of town amenities and beaches. The view of the west coast and sky is beautiful even while lounging in bed. The suite was well appointed, we ate in for most of our meals. Condition of the suite was like new and super clean on our arrival. The suite came with all the beach accessories needed and were in good shape. We wish to stay again in the future.

Great property and great owners

I'm a local that needed a place for a couple days due to my house being fumigated. I didn't want to stay in a hotel so I looked at VRBO options. I'm lucky to have found Annette and Dave's Songbird Suite. They responded to my inquiry almost immediately and was able to get me setup for their suite the very next day. Check-in was very easy, and the location was perfect. High elevation so the temperature was great. The suite itself was immaculate, very clean and spacious. I couldn't have asked for better accommodations and nicer owners. I'll definitely be back again sometime in the future.

Songbird Suite - Excellent Stay

Our stay at Songbird Suite was excellent. Annette and Dave answered all of our questions and gave us great suggestions. We were in town for the IRONMAN World Championship so the town was exceptionally crowded. We recommend Songbird Suite as a place with a beautiful view, extremely clean and fantastic hosts.

Beautiful home away from home! Perfect Stay!

My husband and I spent our 7 year anniversary here for a week. It was perfect for us! We live in Honolulu where it is very busy so staying here away from it all was just what we needed! The view of the ocean and the sunset from here is beautiful and a must see. There is a patio with chairs and a little table and a grill is provided as well. We loved that we didn't need a key to get in and out. You use a code which made it easy for us. No worries of being accidentally locked out. The interior is decorated very beautifully. You can tell Annette and Dave (the owners) put a lot of effort in making this place a perfect place to stay. The bed is comfy, there is a ceiling fan and they have a fan you can plug in the wall. No AC really needed even on a hot day. It was just right. The shower was our favorite part! We dive and snorkel a lot so there is a lot of space in the shower to rinse and place our gear. And after a long day of outdoor activities, the shower felt great. There are snorkel gear, beach chairs and other beach gear provided. Annette and Dave were very hospitable. They greeted us when we arrived and were available whenever we had questions. We had to extend our stay for another night and they were very accommodating and understanding allowing us to stay another night which we greatly appreciated! They left us some dragon fruit and star fruit one of our nights here which was delicious. Definitely the most hospitable vacation rental owners! Even though they were next door from us we still felt like we had our own space and still felt we had our privacy. You can hear these birds almost sound like they are singing when you drive in the street at night, i have never heard before but sounds so beautiful. We recommend staying here while in the Kona side of Big Island! It's near everything from the airport to plazas and grocery stores and restaurants but you still feel you are away from everything!
