Easy to find. Good space for 4 people and 2 dogs. Reasonable price and convenient location. Cleanliness was ok. Kitchen could use more provisions; glasses, non plastic plates, etc. Overall good experience.
Clean and cozy and tucked away in the woods. Great homebase for sledding the UP. Close to great scenery and the big lake! Good food and cocktails nearby..what more could you want? We’ll be back!
The cabin was very nice, and clean, And very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much! Lots to do and lots to see. A very nice cabin to stay at if you were on vacation, I would recommend this cabin, and the property manager was very pleasant!.
The UP is GORGEOUS this time of year, including the property where we stayed! It was perfect; cheaper and far more enjoyable than a hotel. So quiet, so restful, so beautiful.
We enjoyed the stay but wish the advertised sauna was less work to get going - we had been so busy looking at the Porcupine mountains, waterfalls and colors, we were too tired to mess with the sauna!
Our sons hadn't been on a family vacation with us for 18 years, this was our first time since our youngest was 18 and all enjoyed the time together - so much so, we'll be returning to the UP next June as well.
Our plans in the area included mostly day trips (hiking the Porkies) and we didn’t stay at the property, too long. It was clean, comfortable and we loved the sauna. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. We will be staying here again, just hoping we can spend more time in the area than just 2 nights.
We had a wonderful stay at Porcupine Lodge! It was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking in the Porcupine Mountains. The place was clean and had everything you needed to feel at home. Close to so many hikes, waterfalls, and Lake Superior there are many adventures to be had! The owners were friendly, helpful, and made our stay care-free. The units are surrounded by woods which gave us an opportunity to see wildlife, including lots of deer and even a black bear! Very fun stay!
The place was very clean and a great location. It was a surprise that we had to turn on the power to the refrigerator and water heater when we arrived. The kitchen was fairly well stocked minus frying pan or two. The community fire pit and sauna were very nice.
We enjoyed the quiet, comfortable condo. The facilities are in good condition and everything works. The only downsides were inadequate kitchen lighting and cookware/utensil inventory. It served our group of four okay, but would not have been enough for a group of eight (the place could sleep eight, as advertised).

I felt the property was not as clean as it should have been, sheets did not fit the beds, but did supply the necessities I would rate it as adequate
The place was very clean, however, we didn't get a message from the manager until the day after we arrived. because there was no one on site we went to the konteka, to possibly rent a room, however, they called the manager who gave us instructions on entering our condo. Couldn't get in but did use the code and got into another condo where we stayed for the rest of the time. the manager was very upset but we had already paid for a room and said we were staying there. When you are in an area that has poor cell phone service, DON'T give instructions on a call phone. We will NOT be staying there again!!!!
Unfortunately our stay was not very restful. The accommodations were OK, bit the building is very dated and not well insulated so you can hear a lot of noise from outside and other units. There were other guests staying in the building that were very inconsiderate. They were off roaming in the area, so there was a lot of engine noise, coming and going of the off-road vehicles, lots of revving engines and speeding through the parking lot, loud gatherings outside and our second night was plagued with loud music and drinking of other guests outside. I had to contact the property managers twice to finally get it stopped. The property was clean, but not maintained the best. There is no water pressure in the kitchen so that made doing dishes difficult. It was convenient in the sense that it is fairly close to Porcupine Mountains State Park, I can't say that I would stay there again. Keep in mind that there is a 30 per pet fee that is not included in the listing description and I had to leave cash for that.
We chose this property due to it being centrally located to the things we wanted to do and that it had a/c. Upon arrival it was discovered it did not have a/c and only 2 box fans that didn’t fit in any of the windows and with no feet so they wouldn’t stay upright. Messaged the property owner with no response during our stay. Would not suggest if you are visiting in the summer time.
