Great location, near station, bus, few min walk to center of the old town. Paulo is a great host, easy communication and flexible check-in if possible. Great view from the veranda over the old town.
Nice place, quiet and perfect for 2-4 people depending on sleeping arrangements. I loved the balcony overlooking the town at night. Close to supermarket and 5 min drive to ferry that goes to beach. Nice restaurants within walking distance too. Highly recommend
Spacious apartment with all you need for a prolonged stay. Lidl store within walking distance, and 7-8 minute walk to the town Centre. Kitchen had all we needed to prepare meals including beautiful new induction stove. 10/10 for value!

Very clean spacious apartment in traditional Portuguese style. Lovely large sunny terrace for all day sunbathing or a stroll down to the river to catch the ferry to the stunning beach. Everything that you can possibly need is supplied and there are some really good restaurants nearby.

Nice flat, although the layout of the accommodation means that it would be better suited to a family with children rather than two couples. The kitchen was rather cold during my January stay. Extremely well situated, close to the town centre

The apartment has a very good and quiet location, close to the train station, buses, and only a short walk to the center of Tavira. The ferry to the beach is easily reached.
Great view from the terraces, we especially liked to sit on the little terrace overlooking the old town.
Paulo is an excellent host, and open for flexible for early check-in. We can warmly recommend this apartment.
Lovely quiet flat down a tree lined street. Very peaceful with a lovely view. Great communication and very easy check in and out. We used the train station which is less than a 5 minute walk. 10/12 minutes to the ferry where there are fantastic beaches.

The perfect apartment!!
Can't say enough good things about Paulo's place. A 10 min walk to the ferry to Algarve's most beautiful beaches and adorable downtown district, this apartment had it all: A comfortable bed, full kitchen, spacious living room and beautiful balcony with a partial ocean view.

Great location- couldn’t ask for a better one. Train station and supermarket are steps away. Great area of town. Loved the penthouse patio and the sunset views from kitchen nook - nice to have two different orientations!
On the 4th floor and was glad that there was an elevator.
Plumbing issues need some attention, otherwise very happy with Paulo’s place.
Great apartment in a fantastic area. The accommodation is as described and the front balcony is huge.The owner Paulo gives excellent check in instructions and has someone meet you on arrival. If you do need to contact him he answers very quickly. There are a couple of cafes downstairs and very good restaurants on the avenue on the way to the centre of town..
P. was very responsive to interact with. We were one couple and one additional friend. We had many enjoyable evenings on the balcony, and enjoyed many day trips to nearby places. Highly recommended. 😊

A short walk to the centre of town but quiet, Paulo's apartment was the perfect base for 2+ weeks in Tavira. A great terrace/balcony, 2 spacious bedrooms (one with ensuite bath), a large and fully-equipped kitchen, views of both the historic centre and the ocean (sunsets and sunrises), all on the 4th floor accessed by elevator. Decor and some furnishings are dated but everything works. Restaurants, grocery and the train station (for exploring the Algarve) are all nearby. Highly recommended.
We had a very smooth experience from start to finish, Paulo was a great communicator and was very helpful with recommendations. It was our first time to Tavira and we will definitely be back! 5 minute walk to Lidl, and a 10 minute walk to the town with lots of cafe’s and restaurants along the way. We loved the restaurant/bar Clandestino for a drink and a snack, a short walk from the apartment, the staff were so friendly. The apartment was very clean and everything worked perfectly, the balcony is big but also private which is nice if you want to sunbathe. Overall we had a fantastic time, highly recommend 😊
We loved everything about this older style apartment. Large, well maintained and well equipped centrally located top floor apartment.
We were met at the apartment and shown everything, after that it was easy to enter and leave the building.
Close to a great vegetarian restaurant and just around the corner from an excellent boulangerie, plus a large supermarket within walking distance.
Tavira is a beautiful town and is close to
some excellent beaches.
This apartment made our stay that much more enjoyable.
The property is authentic Portuguese. Great location with town 5 minutes walk away. The apartment is spacious and very clean. Although it is on the fourth floor there is a lift that never let us down. The sun is on the terrace from early morning til l6.30 but then round to the breakfast room for more sun! Lidl is 4 minute stroll up the road and a friendly little cafe 2 minutes on the way to Lidl. The take away at the top of the avenue is amazing!
Paulo was a fantastic host very helpful and polite.
My husband and I stayed for 75 days in this apartment. The location is very convenient to everything - train station, supermarket, cafes. The orange trees across the street were in bloom during this time, so having our morning coffee on the front terrace was a sensory delight. If you stay anywhere for this long, issues are bound to pop up that someone staying only a week or two may not experience. We had a couple of plumbing issues and Paulo, our host, had them resolved at once. The apartment has all that you need for your stay.
We love Tavira and Paulo made it even more special. We hope to go back next year and stay in his place again!

Great apartment in a great location. If you have a car be aware there is NO free parking during the day. 9am to 7pm is paid parking, not expensive but the longest you can pay for is 4 hours. I got one parking ticket, 7 euros. More of a hassle to figure out how to pay than anything. There is a Lidl a short walk away and lots of cafés and restaurants nearby that are walkable. Drive to Santa Luzia (5 minutes) for your morning pastry and coffee. You can look out at the water and fishing boats. Just what I imagined Portugal to be.
This apartment is in a perfect location in Tavira. It’s just up the street from the main tourist sites, restaurants and shops. The 30’ terrace is fantastic, offering a view of the town and water, while the back offers views of the town and ‘mountains’. It offers a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a lounge area, along with a washer, dishwasher and wifi. There was plenty of hot water that you didn’t have to wait for (like we do at home). Being on the top floor, we could not hear anything from the neighbour's. The Lidl (grocery store) is a 5 minute walk beside the train station.Paulo was most accommodating when we arrived early and responded very quickly to any of our questions. He also supplied detailed information about the area and places to go.We rented a car in Lisbon as we wanted to tour Portugal on our own. We had no issues finding parking in front of the apartment. You could pay the 7, feeding the meter every 4 hours or take your chances on a ticket, which is 7. Although we were out before 9 each morning, we did get 2 tickets. You can pay for them at the news stand in the main square, by the Roman bridge in the main square.We also travelled to Seville on this trip which is less than 2 hours away from Tavira.Overall, we would highly recommend this apartment and are hoping it will be available when we return in the future.Thanks again Paulo!

Treasure in Tavira
That's what this property is - a total treasure to stay at in Tavira! From the moment we walked in we were awe struck by the loveliness of this penthouse accommodation. The woodwork and tasteful décor was only surpassed by the magnificent terrace on the one side of the apartment where we basked in the sun and played cards or just relaxed in the deck chairs. On the other side of the apartment off the kitchen, was a sunroom with table/chairs. We loved taking our meals in this sunroom with windows we could open wide and a view of the town that was breathtaking. It's been the only vacation where we've looked forward to eating at home rather than a restaurant!
The beds were very comfortable and the entire apartment/property immaculately clean. It was such a pleasant surprise to find ample kitchen/bathroom supplies already available for use to hold us over until we were able to obtain our own and replace what was there. Everything the listing review indicated was accurate or a grade better. The location of this penthouse was perfect. Close to the grocery store, centre of town, historic sites, restaurants and public transportation. Yet we also felt removed from the bustle once we were back home-that's how comfortable this place made us feel. We felt so fortunate to have picked Tavira as our base home for day trips around Portugal and just a 2 hour bus ride to Seville. Tavira itself has so much to offer and we found something new to discover every day we ventured out.
Paulo was the perfect host, checking in with us several times to ensure we were okay and to answer any questions we had. He truly went out of his way wanting us to enjoy not only his vacation home, but Tavira and all that Portugal had to offer. It was the icing on the cake and we consider him our friend!
I would and will recommend this apartment to anyone who is thinking about a vacation in Portugal. Such as shame we couldn't stay longer....we are now shovelling snow back in Canada!!

Appartement confortable et très propre, bien ditué dans une avenue résidentielle agréable, permettant un accès rapide au centre-ville. Vue lointaine sur la mer depuis la terrasse, à condition de se tenir debout à cause d'un parapet assez élevé, un store-auvent endommagé à cause d'un vent violent, rendant la terrasse inutilisable à l'heure du déjeuner en raison de l'ensoleillement. Un lave-vaisselle défectueux, nous avons dû faire la vaisselle à l'évier. Au total, malgré ces quelques inconvénients, ce fut un séjour très agréable.

The terrace has two awnings. One was torn due to bad weather. We always ask guests to retract the awnings on windy days (which, thankfully, are rare). The dishwasher is new and fully functional. Just turn it on and press "play." It's already programmed for a full wash cycle. Instructions are on the top of the dishwasher lid. We're always available to answer any questions.
Zeer goede communicatie met gastheer. Ruim appartement met groot balkon. Zeer rustig 's nachts ook al is het centrum vlakbij. Alle keukenbenodigen waren aanwezig. Misschien moet een grotere flatscreen aangekocht worden en de tafel op het terras dient vervangen te worden. Maar dat is detailkritiek. De eindindruk is zeer positief.
