Quiet, clean and comfortable. Very precise directions on how to get in and out from the host who was very quick to communicate. Can't ask for much more. Would definitely recommend.
Great place and location. Just an FYI, if you could update your picture of the front of your house since your front door is a different color. We had a great time and hope to be back soon!
We were in town for a football game. This apartment is in a lovely home. It is private, well appointed, clean, and comfortable. I look forward to staying here again in the future.
We enjoyed our short stay there. Everything was as it said in the description. When we entered, the room smelled a bit odd but it was a basement so we figured that was why. Other than that everything was great!
My husband and I needed a place to stay for a few days near our daughter who is a grad student at UGA. We opted for this instead of a motel as we usually do. We were not disappointed. The place is cute and cozy and perfect for a few days spent in Athens. Great location and neighborhood and very lovely people. The place was clean and well stocked. Both the bed and the shower were great. We will definitely stay here on our trips to visit our daughter in the future.
Communication was top notch! Had a couple different add-ons throughout the week and the owners accommodated us each time. Will definitely stay again whenever we are back in town!
Our stay was easy, comfortable and relaxing. The apartment and neighborhood is very quiet, absolutely no traffic sounds. If the weather had been warmer it also would have been a nice place to spend time outside as a grill is provided and a table and chairs and nice area of lawn. Everything was made easy as possible.
Quiet basement apartment has everything you need for your stay - kitchen & bath is well stocked, though I did not need it for my overnight stay. Bedding is comfortable. Matt was very responsive to my questions & provided thorough information prior to my arrival. Will consider staying in the future.
Our hosts had all of the amenities down to the T and even had extra such as board games for entertainment, toiletries and great coffee. Very cozy and welcoming.
Matt was super easy to work with. The basement apt was a perfect home base to visit our daughter at UGA and go the football game. The hosts thought of everything you might need including toiletries, coffee, waters, etc. And our daughter is missing her cat from home and enjoyed seeing the hosts cats around the yard! We would stay here again when we visit Athens.
This property was clean, organized and was stocked with all of the little things you might need if you forgot something at home. My family felt safe and comfortable. Would highly recommend and we’d rent again if back in the area.
This is a great little basement apartment, I've stayed twice now and both stays were great. I plan to make this my normal place when I'm in Athens, which is a frequent occurrence because that's where my grandbaby is.
This was a nice, comfortable little apartment, in a wooded subdivision. You have everything you need, the kitchen has labels so you don't have to guess where things are. This is an apartment, so you will hear them moving around upstairs, just like you would in any apartment or hotel, but they seem to be early to bed people because it's quiet by 9 or 10. I was very happy with my stay and plan to stay there for future visits.
The property was as listed. Very, very nice and accommodating. Owners are right there when you have any questions. Beautifully decorated, really loved the pump in the shower with all your bath needs. Will definitely return to this property, as I come down to Athens to visit relatives. Thanks for a short but sweet stay!!!

Extended Stay
We rented here for 6 weeks while waiting to close on our new house. Overall, our stay was okay. The space was relatively clean and the yard & patio out back is beautiful. Our biggest complaint would be the noise. The jumping, running, & screaming above us was LOUD and frequent. The apartment is private, but we did not realize that it shared the bottom level with the family home. While the spaces are separated by a locked door, we could easily hear conversations in the room over, which made it feel significantly less private. We could hear the family snoring above us at night, but luckily the room came with a sound machine which we greatly appreciated. The property was nice and came stocked with all the necessities, just not recommended for light sleepers or folks prone to headaches. Matt & Tiffany are fantastic and were very accommodating hosts. They were very responsive when we reached out, and they even replaced the stove for us when it went out. We really appreciated their professionalism and would highly recommend them as hosts.

Oh no, we are so sorry your stay was not as peaceful as we would have liked. We have never had this complaint before. We are happy to be accommodating and responsive hosts and will do our best to alleviate any potential noise issues in the future. We hope you got your car alarm fixed. That was a crazy morning working from home. Hah! Thanks for your feedback!
Thoughtful and accommodating hosts are just the introduction to a clean, quiet, peaceful, safe and relaxing stay in a wooded area in Athens. Many included amenities make the stay comfortable. Highly recommended!

Why they chose this property
Homewood Hills is a quiet, established neighborhood located 3 miles northwest of downtown Athens off Prince Avenue. There are several businesses located at the front of the neighborhood including a grocery store, dry cleaner, drug store, wine and spirits, thrift store, and a nail salon. Homewood Hills shopping center also offers several great restaurants including Mexican, Peruvian, and Chinese fare. Just a short 2 mile drive to Normaltown offers a plethora of restaurants, a coffee shop, bakery, and places to enjoy adult beverages.
Our house is less than 1-mile from a bus line that runs from the Homewood Shopping Center at the front of the neighborhood. The Prince Avenue bus stops at the UGA Arches every hour. The GA 10 loop perimeter is located at the front of the neighborhood as well, providing easy access to all of Athens.
