Hidden Heaven lake house. Quiet private cottage on 1 acre

Decorated with wildlife decor, this cottage gives you the relaxation and comfort of a peaceful vacation! Fully equipped, all you need to bring is food and clothes. All rooms have satellite TV and DVD players. Relax watching the sunset on the spacious deck while grilling. 2 bedrooms (K&Q), sleep sofa, and air mattress if needed. 2 docks (Boat lift used by owner) Enjoy the day on one of the 10 kayaks or 5-person pedal boat available (life jackets provided). All water activities are at your OWN RISK. Owners will not be responsible for any accidents. 3 adult bicycles available.
Corn hole boards for outdoor fun by the concrete firepit! Located on Johnsons creek on the Chickahominy Lake.
WIFI is available at no extra charge. Sometimes depending on weather Wi-Fi could be spotty. Guests are responsible for the portable router. If lost or damaged, there will be a $200 charge for the device. Due to travelers with allergies this is a pet free home, No exceptions.

This was an amazing spot for a relaxing vacation. It had a beautiful sunset view every night. It was as listed and a very quiet spot.There is plenty to do, fish, bike, kayak, paddleboat.. Would recommend.

The house is quaint, cozy, and welcoming. Clean and stocked. Joyce thinks of everything. The view is magnificent. Joyce and Eric are top hosts. Cannot wait to bring our mom and grandkids back.

Great Family Trip

The house was great, and the hosts were amazing to work with. There’s so much to do at the house (fish, kayak, etc) and it’s a great location to get to popular Williamsburg activities.

What a fantastic spot! So quiet, so clean, so convenient to the attractions we wanted to visit - and so well stocked! The only downside was that we visited during the July Heat Dome with 100 degree temps, so it wasn't comfortable to take advantage of the lakeside outdoor areas. However, with the expansive windows, we were able to enjoy the views from the blessedly cool living room. We can't say enough about our great hosts, too. We had a slight problem with the entry code, but that was resolved very quickly. Nothing but kudos to the Reynolds for providing such great hospitality and accommodations.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a very quiet location with beautiful views. The house was fully equipped with all the essentials. We also enjoyed using the kayaks and bikes provided with the house. We would definitely stay here again.

A relaxing stay

The cottage was very nicely appointed, cozy and clean. We enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit and the quiet surroundings. We checked out Williamsburg and Fort Monroe which are easy drives. Our stay was just what we needed.

Great Getaway

Peaceful escape with easy access to history

The property was located central to numerous Civil War battlefields and sites we wanted to visit during our week long vacation this summer. The location allowed day trips to Richmond, Fort Monroe, and Petersburg while offering a peaceful retreat to play board games, kayak or go fishing after a busy day.
