NEW LISTING! Mountain Cabin Getaway with a fire pit, High Speed Internet, Dog OK
Lowest rate in the area. Welcome to the "Mountain Cabin Getaway!" with only a 2-day minimum. 10% DISCOUNT for weekly bookings, also. Dogs welcome of any size! It is a cabin with 2 master suites and 2 full baths, one on each side and a large living room with adjoining kitchen and dining room in the center of the house with a gas fireplace and a bar. High-speed fiber optic internet! 3 TV's - 1 in each bedroom and in the living room. Dedicated work desk for working from "home." You can use your cell phone through the WiFi by just changing your phone settings to make and receive calls through the WiFi, which works like a charm for us if your carrier isn't as good in the mountains. Murphy is a wonderful mountain town nestled between Blue Ridge, Blairsville and Helen, GA which are all within 30 minutes to an hour away. You can even do Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, TN for a day trip and we are less than 20 minutes from where the Tennessee and Georgia state lines meet at the quaint shopping and dining village on the Toccoa River where you can cross from Copperhill, TN into McCayesville, GA within a few steps on Bridge St. We are also within 20 minutes of Harrah's Valley River Casino, and too many Appalachian hiking trails and rafting locations to list. There are many lakes surrounding the area and nature abounds with deer coming out to graze in the grass and say welcome to Murphy! After a fun day you can sit around the fire pit and enjoy a bottle of complimentary wine from our bar. Please limit it to only ONE bottle, so future guests can also enjoy a bottle as well. Please be respectful of our request. High speed fiber optic just hooked up! We don't allow cats and there is a maximum of two dogs that are NOT allowed on the furniture or beds or there will be a charge placed against your insurance policy due to added cleaning time. Because of insurance restrictions, the following dogs are not allowed: Pit Bull, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Husky (including Siberian breeds), Malamute, Doberman Pinscher, Chow Chow, or any Wolf-dog hybrid. We provide poopy bags and there are dog dishes in the laundry area. Please clean up after your pet and use a leash in the neighborhood since some of the owners also have dogs as well. Also, this is a quiet mountain neighborhood, so if you have dogs that bark a lot, this is not the cabin for you since there are others who live and/or rent in this neighborhood who come here to enjoy the peace and tranquility of sitting on their porch and not have barking dogs disrupt their quiet time. If you have dogs that bark a lot, please choose another rental as I am sure you would also like to be able to sit on the porch and enjoy the peace and quiet yourselves. Dogs should not be left unattended on the porch to bark all day while you are out and about. The neighbors will complain. Thank you for understanding and being respectful of others. Also, do not leave them inside unattended for an extended period of time. Please bring a crate if the dog is a puppy or chews on things. Any damage will be charged against your insurance policy, which is required to rent the cabin. Please select the $59 policy and NOT the $1,500 deposit because VRBO accesses fees and commission on that $1,500 which will result in you only being refunded the net amount of $1,380.

We just love our Mountain Cabin Getaway and we hope our guests will, too. It's the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle and unwind.
Why they chose this property
We just love Murphy! It is very close to so many places! Copperhill, TN and McCaysville, GA state line, as well as Blue Ridge, GA are within 20-30 minutes. The Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino is only 17 miles from the cabin and has a restaurant, a bowling alley and many other eating establishments inside! Helen, GA is only about an hour away. There are so many restaurants and places to shop in these towns, and they are close enough to do lunch in one town and dinner in another. Murphy itself also has shops and restaurants, as well as an Ingles grocery store, a Walmart, a Lowes and other stores that are about 20 minutes away. There is even a movie theater in downtown Murphy. There is also a Dollar General that sells almost everything about a mile away from the cabin going towards the TN state line. You are away from the hustle and bustle, but not so far that you can't get what you need within a short distance. You also don't have to climb 30 minutes up a scary mountain to get to the cabin. It's a short distance from paved Mt. Pleasant Rd. up the gravel road to the cabin, which is a real plus to us and why we chose this location!
What makes this property unique
We seek to provide guests the same rental experience that we appreciate when we use VRBO ourselves. It's nice to have toiletries and starter paper products already there, not to mention the coffee, filters, sugar, creamer, salt, pepper, etc. The one complimentary bottle of wine is just our way of saying "thank you for booking with us and enjoy your stay!"
