1 bed/1 bath 150 steps from the beautiful white sandy beach located mid-island within walking distance to Publix grocery store, Junakanoo, Fresh Catch bar/restaurants, Dolphin Cruises, charter fishing. Take a short stroll to a back bay dock at the other end of the street for sunrises, dolphin watching, kayaking, and fishing. Fully stocked kitchen, full-size bathroom and kitchen appliances, closet, in-unit washer & dryer in unit. An automatic queen air mattress in unit for up to two extra people. The property has no entry stairs, and a beautiful covered patio right outside your front door. The driveway is shared between the two units each with two tandem parking spots. All the comforts of home included. You're going to love it! Pet friendly to house trained non-chewers with PRIOR OWNER APPROVAL and $100 per stay per dog fee for up to two dogs. No dog breed or size restrictions. All utilities included. A regular cleaning service is available during your stay for a $100 additional charge. THE APARTMENT PROPERTY IS NON-Cigarette smoking INSIDE & OUTSIDE. Two beach cruisers, beach chairs, cooler, wagon, umbrella provided. (Owner & dogs on premises).

Perfect beach cottage!

The unit was exactly as described. Very clean, well equipped and in a great location. The bikes, wagons, beach chairs and beach umbrellas were exactly what we needed. Also very close to Publix. It was the perfect size for 2 adults. The backyard was a bonus! We’ll definitely be back!

Casa Tranquilo perfection!!!!

Everything was just perfect!!!! Half block to the bay half block to the beach!!! The neighborhood was just the best with friendly helpful folks. Shelly was great to communicate with and we explored everyday… it was heaven. Thanks for sharing can’t wait to go back!!!

beautiful, cozy, and family friendly

My wife and teenager stayed here for 8 days and it felt like home. It was very comfortable because the owner was always one step ahead. They thought of everything! They included sunscreen for us and even had doggy bags and treats for our dog. There was a hand wagon to carry all our things to the beach and bicycles ready for us to use. All the utensils and towels looked like new. Overall, we had a great stay.

Wonderful property.

Home is everything you could want or need to enjoy a beach vacation. Owner has thought of every detail which we very much appreciated and everything is clean and new. Plenty of beach towels, beach bikes, new beach chairs, umbrellas. Also hair dryer and flat iron were all available in the unit. All the decor is very beachy and the beds are extremely comfortable. The owners paid attention to every detail their renters could need to enjoy their vacation. We will definitely rent again.

Week at the beach

Location of the property was excellent and easily accessible to the beach, shopping, and dining. During our stay at this property the dishwasher quit working, the ice maker quit working, and the TV remote volume worked sporadically. The clothes dryer was a bit tricky to set. The backyard was good for our small dog, but there was limited grass. We enjoyed the beach and visiting the area despite the inconveniences listed.

Thank you for taking the time to review Casa Tranquilo Bungalow. All electronic appliances on the property are one year or newer. During your week stay, we hoped your regular calls to us, personal appliance demonstrations by property maintenance gentleman, and printed directions for dishwasher (on dishwasher door) and washer/dryer (on shelf) would have provided smooth operation of appliances. We provide a welcome binder full of tourist information including trolley information such as the name of the corner trolley stop, app for real-time schedules, and a web link saving your trip to a neighbor's home for tourist information. Had you told us during your stay the volume button on the remote was sporadically working we would have instantly provided a new one. I apologize for your inconvenience. The dog-friendly fenced backyard is a mixture of sand, grass (amount and quality is dependant on the rainy season or drought and activeness of seasonal doggy guests), mulch, an 8x12 patio with a 12-foot cantilever umbrella for shade, and many native plants. Maintenance of sod, rock or shells is not practical in a pet-friendly play area, especially in the Florida heat. We are happy to know you had safe travels home. Thank you for visiting! Shelley

Casa Tranquilo apt.

House is on a residential street with friendly, helpful neighbors. Easy walk to beautiful beach. The fenced backyard with tropical foliage has a nice patio with comfortable chairs and a big umbrella-great place for morning coffee or later day glass of wine. The apartment is small, but well stocked with everything we needed. Super comfortable bed has newer mattress. Smart TV has Prime and Netflix. We appreciated the use of the bikes and beach chairs provided. Shelley was quick to respond and solve any questions or issues and there are 2 nice neighbors who also helped out. The new washer and dryer were tricky to use, very sensitive controls that have to be done in a certain order to get the washer started, I’d recommend replacing the couch, as it was not very comfortable. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay!

Gemütliches Apartement mit Garten in Ft. Myers Beach

Das Apartement ist liebevoll im maritimen Stil eingerichtet. Die moderne Küche ist voll ausgestattet mit großem Herd, großem Kühlschrank (mit Ice-Crusher) und Geschirrspüler (etwas zu wenig Geschirr um den Spüler zu benutzen :o) Das gesamte Mobilar (incl. Küche) ist aus Vollholz und ziemlich neuwertig. Im Abstellraum sind Fahrräder, Strandsonnenschirme und -stühle, sowie Waschmaschine und Trockner in super Zustand. Zugang zum Apartement mit Zahlencode ist eine perfekte Lösung. Der Weg zum Superstrand ist nur ein Katzensprung entfernt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Publix) in 8 min. (zu Fuß) Einziges Manko: die Klimaanlage neben der Terrasse. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a large stove, large fridge (with ice crusher) and dishwasher (a little too little dishes to use the dishwasher: o) The entire furniture (including the kitchen) is made of solid wood and is fairly new. In the storage room bicycles, beach umbrellas and chairs, as well as washing machine and dryer are in great condition. Access to the apartment with a number code is a perfect solution. The way to the super beach is only a stone's throw away. Shops (Publix) in 8 min. The only drawback: the air conditioning next to the terrace. We really enjoyed the stay." Adorable Bungalow At Fantastic Location

Casa Tranquilo is absolutely wonderful. Adorable, beach chic decor throughout in a fantastic location just a short walk to the beach. Host was incredibly Communicative and accommodating. This is a Great option for 2 adults and a doggo (it had a private, fenced in backyard!). Highly recommend!

Hello! I and sweet pit mix, Lola, have made Fort Myers Beach our permanent home since 2022. I grew up in the Midwest, moving to Raleigh, NC for 20 before making my way to Fort Myers Beach. I chose to name the home Casa Tranquilo in honor of my time spent with the wonderful tranquil people of the Dominican Republic while rescuing dogs. I love to travel and experience different cultures. However, I always come back to Fort Myers Beach!

Why they chose this property

I purchased Casa Tranquilo in June 2019, because I loved the mid-island beach to bay location, quiet neighborhood, and convenience to all Fort Myers Beach has to offer. The apartment remodel was completed in May 2025 offering you all the comforts of home. We are within easy walking distance to Publix, a marina and two bar/restaurants.

What makes this property unique

Casa Tranquilo is located on one of the island's only Beach to Bay streets sitting 150 steps from the beautiful white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and a short stroll to the bay for for dolphin watching, beautiful sunrises, and fishing from the bay dock. We love the setup of the property with a 3 bedroom/2 bath main upstairs and a 1 bedroom/1 bath bungalow on the ground floor. We are all-breed house trained indoor non-chewing dog friendly with prior owner approval and a $100 pet fee. Max one dog (maybe two if you can convince me they're like family). Sorry no cats as I am severely allergic. I have fallen in love with the best neighbors and neighborhood of the beach!
