Cozy, clean, comfortable cottage with a beautiful quiet garden. Close to downtown, we always walked to the park and plays. We are a satisfied repeat couple.
We have stayed at this place many times in the past and just love the homey feel and how well equipped it is! Every time we stay here, it feels like coming home!
Delightful cottage immaculately maintained in a location that can’t be beat, walkable to downtown, OSF and Lithia Park. As two couples, we also appreciated having two bathrooms! Highly recommend, and hope to return next year.
This is our 2nd time staying at this home and again we had a wonderful time with no issues. Very close to the theaters, nice outdoor patio seating, kitchen with everything we needed, very clean, perfect for 2 couples with the 2 bathrooms. We will stay here again.
A very quiet, relaxing location just a few blocks from central Ashland. Beautiful private grounds saw us sitting, reading, and eating outdoors. A cozy, comfortable house with all necessary conveniences.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Central Avenue Cottage. Such a comfortable home - private, clean and very well appointed. The weather wasn’t super but had it been better we would have really enjoyed being outside. This was a great place for 2 couples. We have come to OSF for many years and this is definitely one of the best places we’ve stayed.
Quiet neighborhood but super close to shows and town. I wish we could have stayed longer just to get into the great reading material in this home. We loved sitting on the front porch.
This was our second stay at this lovely cottage that has everything we needed and more. If we return to Ashland we'll definitely try to stay here again.
The house is lovely and charming, and fully stocked. It is in a great part of town, within easy walking distance to the theater, park, restaurants, etc. We all agreed we would like to move in!
My wife and I stayed here over Thanksgiving, and our stay was extremely comfortable and pleasant.
The host was welcoming and helpfully communicative, and even gifted us some homemmeade cranberry relish!

Thank you Rand for the positive review and for leaving the house so clean and tidy.
Beautiful inside and out, spotless, and in a perfect location for the theaters, this cottage may be the best we've ever stayed in anywhere.

About the host
Hosted by Lois Van Aken
I have lived and worked in this wonderful town for 30 years. I bought this home in 1986 with the dream that someday I would turn it into a travelers accommodation. Over the years I have carefully remodeled and restored this 1900 cottage and I welcomed my first visitors in 2008.
Why they chose this property
What I love about this property is its close proximity to the heart of downtown, the coop, and the park while still maintaining a quiet, natural setting. All are within 3 minutes walking distance so you can leave your car parked in the driveway for days.
What makes this property unique
In addition to the pleasing home and proximity to downtown, you can sit outside on the porch or on the patio and enjoy the beautiful gardens surrounding the home with the green mountains in the background.
