Vacation on the shore of Seneca Lake, on your own 100 foot private shale beach minutes away from world-class Finger Lakes wineries! This lakefront home feels very private- it's as if you are the only guests on Seneca lake! This home is family friendly and fun for adults, too.
Make dinner on the grill and eat outside on the deck overlooking Seneca lake, or visit some of the nearby restaurants: casual or fine dining. Enjoy a glass of wine on the dock or at a local winery (or brewery, if beer is more your style!). Make a fire in the fire pit on the beach and indulge in some sticky s'mores.
Dock, kayaks, and paddle boats (and life jackets) provided! Play all day at the lake: fishing, kayaking, swimming, or just relaxing. Enjoy the wildlife! Herons and other birds abound- even bald eagles have been spotted in the skies!
This lakefront ranch home features 4 bedrooms (one king, two queens, and a room with two bunk beds) and a comfortable queen sleeper sofa. Two full bathrooms, spacious living room with lots of seating and natural light, and an expansive outdoor deck await you.
Drive right up to the door of the house! There is plenty of parking: the driveway can easily accommodate 6 vehicles. The home is on a quiet residential street with very little traffic.
Only 11 steps to the beach! The beach is a natural shale beach. You'll find a picnic table and other furniture on the beach. In the summer the wildflowers attract beautiful butterflies!
Bring your own boat: there are cleats on the end of the dock available for your use.
Stay comfortable! The house is equipped with central air conditioning. The kitchen has all the essential equipment, including all the tools you'd need to bake a cake! Towels and linens are provided.
We love this house and you will too!

We had an incredible time. Desmond took great care of us & we loved our stay. Ages ranged from 10 - 76 and the house accommodated us all. The view is stunning & the dock provided is incredible access to Lake Seneca. We highly recommend visiting Penn Yan, Seneca Stag Brewery, Spotted Dick Creamery, & Sweet Farm Animal Sanctuary. We hope to be back soon!
Cozy, private lakefront house was perfect for our combined family vacation. Kids enjoyed the pedal boats and we all soaked in the serenity and sunshine from the deck and the private dock. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared and the host answered my questions promptly. We made easy day drives to Geneva, Watkins Glen and Montezuma wildlife area, and the bike trail to Penn Yan was gorgeous too.

Dock is nice!
We loved the private dock for fishing & the use of paddle boat & kayaks. The neighborhood is quiet & close to many wineries. The house is cozy but offers little privacy- bathrooms & bedrooms all open to main room/kitchen, & main bedroom's door doesn't shut (seems due to house settling). Host responded quickly to a question about door lock. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
This is the second time that my friend group has stayed at this location. Everything is just as described. Great location, easy entry, right on the water just perfect! Owners are very easy to communicate with and accommodating. I couldn't recommend this location more. We all agreed.
Perfect Lake house for a getaway to the finger lakes!
It was a great house for what we wanted to spend time with our 2 year old and our family friends who had a 5 month old. The house was spacious enough for both our families and we loved having access to the dock and the kayaks. Location is minutes away from all the fun wineries & breweries. Jocelyn was a great communicator and made the whole process super easy!
The House was very accomodating for our family. Nicely updated. Some plumbing and cooling problems were Immediately fixed with no inconvenience. The dock and adirondac chairs were in frequent use. A very enjoyable getaway.
It was perfect for us. We enjoyed finding fossils on the beach and watching the falcons and an eagle soaring over the lake. The weather was steamy hot and the air conditioning made a big difference in our comfort. Our only surprise was the poor quality of the dryer. It took FOREVER to dry a small load. We hung clothes outside.
Lovely little rancher-style home that felt like a cottage. We had everything we needed for an extended weekend away with 7 adults. The home is situated in the perfect spot on the wine trail. We also caught fish off the dock in between wine and cheese tastings. It was a very relaxing weekend to celebrate my Dad’s 67th Birthday. Thank you!!
Beautiful home, private, and tranquil. Everything you could possibly need! Thank you for all the small touches. I’ve rented many vacation homes with large groups, and the little things make a big difference. The flowers are beautiful! I watched a hummingbird pollinating flowers, baby ducks swimming along, a big turtle. The kayaks and paddle boats were a huge hit with the kids, and plenty of life vests. The fire pit was great, really you couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you again! Would definitely come back.
We had a wonderful stay this past week and it had a great location and view from the house. My family (included my two teenaged boys) enjoyed the kayaks, pedal boats and inflatable tubes this week. The hosts thought of everything from drinking water, soaps, and spices for food. The house was very clean, quiet, comfortable, and functional. We didn’t even turn on the TV all week and instead enjoyed our various trips to the state parks, local attractions, and spent a lot of our time at the dock on the lake. We couldn’t catch a fish, but we loved trying right from the dock!
We especially enjoyed the Sampson State Park fireworks view from the dock for July 4th. My family agreed we'd stay here again!
This was the perfect house for our first family vacation with our one-year old, and we had enough space to host my in-laws for the weekend. Great lakefront location, secluded, but less than a 5 minute drive from great spots such as the Spotted Duck and Climbing Bines! Very close to a number of wineries. Beautiful sunrises in the morning and wonderful afterglows from the sunset in the evening. There are no open stairs, and the deck is completely gated so our little one was able to crawl and toddle around and safely explore. The kayaks and paddleboards were fun, and it was great to have a number of life vests to choose from. Jocelyn made our trip a breeze and answered all our questions quickly. They even left a bundle of fire wood and we had a lovely fire our last night. We hope to be back very soon!!
Lovely spot on Seneca Lake right in the middle of all the wineries. Lots of room in the house and a great dock with Adirondack chairs. The hosts were communicative and kind when I had a delayed departure due to a rental issue. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!
The property was amazing. We All said that we want to come back in warmer months. We came the first weekend in October 2022, for a long weekend. There were eight adults no children. The property accommodated all of us perfectly fine and there was hot water for everyone's shower. Being right on the lake was awesome. The fire pit outside right on the lake was also great. It was a little too cold to go out on the water but there were kayaks and paddle boards available none of us were brave enough though. Great sunrise again right there on the lake. And a great location to get to all the places we like in the area.
Jocelyn was super communicative and responded immediately with any concern which was mostly just questions before I got there. A nice touch was a sound machine in every room that helped us all drown out our husband's snoring. Really the property had everything we could think of and things we didn't think of. I definitely recommend it and would definitely stay there again. Thank you Jocelyn I've added this to the list of properties I would love to stay at again!
Nice view of lake. Clean. Bright w/ 4 skylights. Enjoyed location. Better than expected. We would return.

About the host
Hosted by Desmond Cummins
We are a family with 3 little girls who live in nearby Geneva NY.
Why they chose this property
We bought this home as a place to spend time outdoors with our 3 girls. The level beach is kid friendly, and they love swimming and boating- and just playing on the beach! The interior of the home is great for children as well. There are no stairs and there is a bunk room for them to share.
What makes this property unique
Privacy and serenity! Trees on either side of the property make you feel like you are the only guests on Seneca Lake! It is often so quiet that the only sounds are from the birds and the gentle waves. Bald eagles have been spotted in the skies. The views from inside the living room and the deck are spectacular. No steps from the driveway to the house, and only 11 steps from the house to the beach. The long driveway will accommodate up to 6 or 7 cars, with additional parking on the street. The home is on a quiet residential street with very little traffic.
