Beautiful homes, my children enjoyed this home. I loved that my little family stayed in the barn and it had the big open spaces with plenty of places to sleep. Perfect for families.
Looking for a place for all your family and room to park a trailer? This is the place! We loved the dual cabin layout, there's plenty of room for the teens and kids to have their own space, and also enough room for everyone to come together to eat, play games, and watch movies. This property is great if you're like me and bringing in a car trailer. There is ample parking and the road in from Pigeon Forge is windy, but easily do able with a 20' enclosed trailer.
We really enjoyed the property having two homes. The kids/teens had space to hang out and spend time together. Host was very responsive to questions/needs. Check-in was extremely easy.
Beautiful property and area, very peaceful and quiet and private. VERY narrow roads leading to property. Very soft bed in loft bedroom. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Overall, a great property to stay in. You are not that far from Pigeon Forge, the mountain coaster or the island. It was a wonderful vacation. We were even 25 minites from Wahoo Zip Lines!! That was AWESOME!! My 8 year old loved it!!

Water
Everything was good except the strong sulfur Oder in the water. Used bottle water for coffee and brushing of teeth.
We loved the property! The two buildings enabled us to let our young adult children have their own space while the main cabin was the hub of the activities. Away from all the traffic was an added bonus. The bears that were there everyday were much entertainment! (They loved your apples from the apple tree). The lounge bed you have on your beautiful front porch could be nicely replaced by a swing. (The bed was very musty). Overall it was a very nice week in a very nice home.

Response from VrboOwner on 17 March 2020
Dear Kelcey, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. As you will recall from the 8 prior calls you made to us leading up to check in, inquiring into how many bedrooms had doors! It’s clear this property was not setup to meet your group’s needs. We would have been happy to cancel your reservation should you of requested such, yet I think you were hoping our response to the layout would change with each subsequent call you made. We were very clear this cabin has a loft style master which is not overlooked, with the downstairs bedroom being enclosed with doors. The barn as is clearly seen in the pictures and as described over our many discussions has an open plan layout. In terms of the Wi-Fi, you’ll see we do not promote high speed internet as due to our retreat like location, the fastest speeds are through satellite of which we have the best service offered, which works adequately for email, social media and streaming at moderate HD resolution. Had WIFI not be working at all, you would have been unable to contact us via the method you did on numerous occasions while you were at the cabin. We sincerely hope you find a more suitable property for your groups needs for any future stays. Sincerely, Matthew

No blankets, broken chair and shower door
The rental process was very easy to negotiate but once at the property there Were no blankets for the foldout couch. No additional blankets no additional pillowcases. One of the bar chairs broke while our daughter was sitting on it causing bruising and swelling to her knee. Management told us that the chairs were working properly prior to our arrival it was obvious they had tried to fix them with screws and nails before so this was not their first incidence with these chairs. The shower door is only held on by two rollers both of which they are not maintained properly causing the screws and wheels to fall off and glass doors to fall off the hinges while showering. The air conditioner that was upstairs leaks to the downstairs Dining room. The air conditioner in the garage home was not sufficient for the area and it never cooled down properly nor did it have adjustments that you could make for it and it was extremely loud.
This property fit our family perfectly. With the two separate living areas, this was ideal for a stay with small children! The location of the cabin is definitely not in a busy area. If you want to be close to Piegon Forge, this property would not be what you are looking for. You will drive at least 20 minutes to get to Piegon Forge restaurants. Cades Cove is about 45 minutes away. This is your property if you want quite and to disconnect from the busy life we all live! Our family really liked our time here!
The house was just want we all needed a nice quiet place to stay, unwind and enjoy life again. Had enough room for everyone, the hosts messaged me throughout our stay to make sure everything was good.
The only downfall was no cell service but that was ok with us
Excellent stay! We traveled for a family getaway for a few days and this property was perfect!
The rental process was easy and the owner messaged us several days leading up to our arrival to notify check in process. He also emailed after the first day to make sure we didn’t need anything.
This property was perfect for my family and my sisters family vacation. Plenty of space to spread out. Nicely decorated. Very homey ad comfortable. The kids stayed entertained with big yard and plenty of trees. When it rained they had fun playing games that were provided, frozen ball, and air hockey.
Our favorite thing was the spacious front porch with the rocking chairs and daybed. We spent the majority of our time out on that beautiful front porch. It was really nice they provided a nice gas grill, a kreuig and coffee pods.
Looking forward to coming back .
We stayed here with 7 adults and 7 kids. We loved the secluded location and cabin. The host kept in touch to make sure we had a great stay. They even left us smores items for the kids.
This cabin was a VERY NICE CABIN.... the grass needed mowing when got there but our overall experience was amazing...we had a VERY GOOD TIME.. this will def be considered for the place to stay again... Communication with owner was VERY GOOD, responded quickly and was very helpful and was very nice... Great communication, and also had a visitor on our last night, so yes there are BIG CRITTERS, so be sure to keep things locked up and put up
My family and I were looking for a place to stay to take one last vacation with my sister and her family before they are deployed to Japan this summer. Easter and the kids’ subsequent spring break was our perfect opportunity. Before our arrival Matthew had given us all of the information we’d need to enter the property (as phone and wifi service are naturally spotty in the mountains; we were prepared and happy to work through this). Upon arrival, my sister and I had discovered an Easter basket FILLED with toys and candy for the children, along with a note that advised us to look in the refrigerator where we found eggs and dye for the kids. This listing wasn’t IDEAL when we found it, as it did not have enough rooms separated by walls, but we believe it helped us and the kids get closer. They played longer, slept in the bunkhouse together, and genuinely enjoyed their time together more than they would have, had the rooms been separated. The main cabin was used for the adults in my family which do not yet have children. We made breakfast for everyone and sat together almost every morning before adventuring off as a family.
If there is anything I’d say that might deter you from staying at this property, it is this: to get out of the neighborhood, it takes a minimum of 15-20 minutes. The cabin sits deep in the holler, this is something we looked for; with lots of children we wanted to ensure that we were not disturbing anyone, and we are a very “outdoors” type of family. If you plan on being close to pigeon forge and not wanting to drive 30 minutes to popular attractions like “the island” or the titanic museum or what have you, then this is your sign. But if you love the country, and rolling hills with horses and cows and animals alike, than this home AND host are definitely for you.
Matthew kept in contact with our needs. Our first day exploring, he had messaged us to ensure that the home met our needs. We were aware of the lack of service and wifi and had no other issues learning how to work everything at our disposal. He was kind, and EXTREMELY thoughtful and our family cannot say enough good things about his home and his generosity.
Great property! Will stay again! Ignore the bad reviews! This place is wonderful!
We loved this place! Great seclusion for a couples group weekend! If your from the city the mineral water is frangrant but is actually really good for you!! Stay here you wont regret it! We will be back!

New Year
The property was about 45 minutes from anything. If you are looking for something super remote this is a good option. Everything is pretty far away, including grocery shopping. The property was very dirty, the sheets looked like they hadn't been washed, there was a lot of dust all over, we ended up cleaning as soon as we got there because it was very dirty. There is no cell service, and the wifi is pretty slow, so it's difficult to connect to anything. The property owner Matthew contacted us to find out if the house was clean and I voiced my concerns and he never responded to it. We ended up having to leave 2 days early because of a snowstorm where we had no electricity or running water. The pictures don't really show the layout very well, the main house has 2 rooms and like a loft area on the second floor, one bedroom has a single bed and the other bedroom has a double bed, there is a full bathroom and laundry on the first floor of the main house, the upstairs has a king-size bed, a full bathroom, and a fuse ball table. there are 3 closets on the second floor so plenty of room for storing suitcases and whatnot. The lighting could be better, it's kind of dark. The Barnhouse has a full bathroom on the main floor and sauna, it has it's own kitchen, and on the second floor its a big loft with a sectional, an activity area, 2 double beds, a single bed, and a sofa bed.
We had a great time. Plenty of space to hang out, play games, cook, relax in the hot tub. We personally brought our projector and screen and set it up in the studio and played So it was nice having the large space and multiple couches. Only complaints (and they are minor) is that the studio has NO internet. Maybe a second router for out there could fix that issue. And the beds in the studio are very stiff and plastic like. I was hoping for slightly comfier beds for the price but everyone in the main house enjoyed their beds so maybe we’re just too old for hard beds. But super minor fixes that in no way took away from a great vacation. There’s so much to do on property we really didn’t ever NEED to leave. But when we did town wasn’t too far! I would stay again :)
