Great place near the beach! Took my two kids (11 & 13) and our black lab for a beach trip! The downtown area is just a couple blocks away as well, which we all enjoyed. It was a great trip. The unit was just as described and pictured, was nice and clean, and the host was very accommodating and communicative. Would stay here again for sure!

This condo was absolutely perfect! The whole place was very clean, well stocked, the beds were very comfortable and it was so close to the beach!!! I would highly recommend this place, and we would love to stay again!!!

We had a great stay! The unit was clean, the kitchen was well-stocked for making meals, the furniture and beds were comfortable, and the apartment was nicely decorated. We loved the location near the beach and salt marsh too. We would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The location was great with an easy walk to the beach and town. It was very clean and updated. It was wonderful that dogs were allowed and my pups loved all of the nature walks. I would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, comfortable and well stocked apartment. Pet friendly with a gorgeous beach a block away. Newly renovated, excellent communication with hosts. I do recommend and would stay here again.

Great stay near the beach

My family had a great stay at Elena’s place. The apartment was clean and well appointed. Elena was so responsive and kind before, during and even after our stay. We loved hanging out in the courtyard. The location cannot be beat! We’ll definitely return.

We have stayed in several different apartments within this complex and this one, as with all the others, was fantastic! Very clean, well stocked, and you can’t beat the location as it’s so close to the beach and walkable to downtown. The beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and tar wipes are a great bonus! The owners are always very pleasant to deal with and respond quickly to questions. We look forward to our next trip!

We had the BEST long weekend at Tropic Shores. Super clean, friendly host and every little detail you could ask for. For a dog friendly property, we never heard any barking and the whole complex as a whole was super quiet. Boogie boards you can use, beach chairs and towels, cleaning towelettes to get the beach tar off your feet… they seriously thought of everything. Easy walk to the beach, next a wetland reserve. Loved it so much, we are thinking of making it an annual trip!

Long weekend

Love staying in this apartment with its close proximity to the beach and a fabulous view of the mountains from the outdoor garden. The accommodations are super nice with everything you could possibly need. The property is well maintained. I especially enjoyed the garden for morning coffee!!! You will never be disappointed with this choice!!

July 4th vacation

Love love loved our apartment in Carpenteria! Tropical shores is amazing and beautiful. Perfect location especially if you’re bringing pets, a few steps from dog beach and really clean and nice. The only thing I would change is a more comfortable bed.

Nice apt and close to the beach

Loved it very much! Perfect location for walking to the beach and places to eat. The apt had everything we could need such as beach chairs, towels, and all the kitchen equipment. The use of the washer and dryers were a bonus. Comfy and just enough room for a family of four. Highly recommend 10/10

Great Apartment by the Sea

We really appreciated the nicely appointed apartment and were pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen supplied with coffee, sugar, salt/pepper, saran wrap, foil and ziplock baggies. Although we didn’t cook because of the brevity of our trip, these supplies would have made cooking and clean up easier. We were also happy with the size if the apartment and that it allowed our small dogs to stay. Great hosts!

Peaceful and Easy Access

Ewe were looking for a place close to family and events in the area. We also had a small dog to accommodate. Parking and accessible unit for elderly parents was perfect. Of course we realize the off season for the beach is a little different than summer use. The unit was so clean and all use was clearly explained. Much nicer than a hotel for the three nights we stayed. Thank you.

wonderful in every way

Great location, clean, wonderfully decorated. Host was awesome. So nice to have a place dedicated to families who want to stay a few days or a week and not have to stay in a hotel. So much of Carpenteria in past years was for families wanting a week at the beach. Those places have since been converted to condos and are owner occupied or leased monthly. Not Tropic Shores. The family has a goal of providing weekly rentals to families, like it used to be. And they provide it in a fantastic way. You are literally less than a two minute walk to the waves. Wonderful place.

Close to the beach and a clean property and living space. I appreciated the access to beach towels, chairs, and laundry soap since we had to fly and couldn’t bring those necessities.
