Very lovely, quiet, and a great collection of books. The shower was deceptively large, and the bed very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay, woke up, and enjoyed a walk to the creek to enjoy the smells of the spring tree buds. This is an ideal location, very quiet for Anchorage. We will recommend and probably stay again if we find ourselves back in the area as the price was fair.
Nice quite property, very pet friendly. Unique experience.

Clean property in quiet location. Easy checkin/out with clear instructions. Would stay again and would recommend the property to others looking in the Anchorage area. We were lucky enough to interact with the owners who were wonderful!!! An absolutely all around great stay.

Idyllic setting near downtown Anchorage
A cosy and comfortable property in a convenient location that nevertheless feels like you're in the countryside. Loved the furnishings (and books!). The hosts were really friendly and helpful.
Would love to visit again!

Quiet stay, dirty linens
This property was quiet and well-located for exploring Anchorage and surrounding area. Check-in was straightforward. The sheets had stains and crumbs or lint on them and the comforter was also stained. There were several store tags on provided towels, indicating they had not been washed after purchase.

Response from VrboOwner on 17 July 2025
Hello Abigail, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are glad to hear the home was quiet and in a great location, and that check-in went smoothly. However, we're sorry about the issues with the linens and towels. We reviewed the maintenance report, which outlines all the communications you had with us, and are glad that our local team had addressed your concerns as quickly as possible. We’d love the opportunity to host you again and provide a much better experience in the future.
This wonderful spacious place on a large lot with wooded backyard is comfortable and cosy. The place is stocked with books, has a very comfortable bed and nice seating. It offered everything we needed for our 8 day stay. The kitchenette is very small, but sufficient if you are not planning on cooking big meals. We would definitely stay there again!

Liked: Communication, location, listing accuracy
Furniture was old and it was musty inside and difficult to open a window.

Great Escape
The host was great and so was the place. True alakan property with momma moose and calf gracing the yard. Wonderful interior with a great selection of books to read. I look forward to visiting again in the future.
