Simons Town- Nestled in the oaks right on Copano Bay! Private Pier!

This super cute 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage is the perfect place for a quiet weekend on the water. The open living room/ kitchen/ dining area has hard wood floors, stainless steal appliances and plenty seating for everyone. The kitchen has everything you will need to cook your catch of the day and there is also a breakfast table for morning coffee or a quick place to feed the kids. Out to the living room there is all new furniture, a table that seats 6, a sun room and a queen size sleeper sofa for extra space. At the end of the hall you will find the master bedroom with a King size bed and an on suite bathroom. The shower is amazing and there are also double sinks. The second and third bedrooms both share a bathroom that is equally as wonderful. The second bedroom has a Queen bed and the third a full over full bunk bed. This home will sleep a total of 10 people. Outside you will find the most amazing pier just for the 3 houses in this complex. There is a fish cleaning station and a kayak ramp. You can bring your boat and tie it up at the dock. 2 boats MAX allowed at this unit. Kayaks are not provided. Covered parking for 2 cars, no garage access. Streaming TV only.

Each unit sits between huge oak trees. This house is also just a short drive to Rockport Beach and world class duck hunting is right out your back door. There are also the cutest deer that hangout right near the houses. I could go on and on or you could just make this your next vacation spot.

We had a lot of fun fishing the peer to the point you loose track of time. The only issue we had was when we were cooking the smoke alarm would go off but Overall it was a great trip.

Hidden Treasure of Rockport

We loved our stay, it’s semiprivate. We felt so secure that we didn’t even lock our doors. I took midnight walks. The property had ample lighting on the pier and property. The view! The kids catching fish and the smiles on their faces. Communication was great. Easy check in and departing instructions. If we could of changed anything, it would be able to control the AC. Set and locked at 73. It was comfortable during the day, but at night we would of liked it cooler. Overall, this was money well spent and I can’t wait to Return.

Reviewer Comments: The temperature in the house was unbearable and then realized we could not set it to our own process. The washer and dryer made awful noises and only heated the master room up more. The master bed had a droop in the middle so we had to sleep in separate rooms because we would just roll to the middle. It should be explained that the dock is not a good water entry for swimming but thankfully it was close to the beach and gave us a place to sleep, shower and cook our own food. The showers were nice and had good pressure along with good temperature.

Nice getaway

Everything was pretty good. The house was nice & clean. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of 3 things. First was on our first night when went to use plates for dinner there was food stuck on almost all the plates. I had to prewash everything we used. Second was the pier. We love to fish, we expected the pier to have fishing lights on the end. It was one little light that lighted up about maybe 10 foot out from the pier. Very hard to fish with 3 people. There was walkway lights down the whole pier that was nice and bright but walkway and fishing lights are two different things. Third was in the master bedroom there is a tv but it only has a roku box. Which would have been fine but the remote didn’t work. When a lady called to ask us about our first night stay we told here but nothing was done. There is tv in the living room. Other than those things our stay was very relaxing. Easy access to local stores and restaurants. We like that it was gated. The property manager does live onsite which didn’t bother us. There is a total of 4 houses in this gated area that are right next to each other. We were lucky that no one booked the other two houses. I like peace and quiet on my vacations I don’t want to be that close with others. Overall it was a nice getaway.

Good place to stay for fishing trip

The property was excellent and the stay very enjoyable. The T-Head on the pier was damaged during a previous storm and is not safe. It needs repairs and the online listing did not indicate it was out of commission. The problem I have was the excessive owner, management and services fees that totaled almost 90% of the advertised rental cost. This will keep me from staying at this or any other VRBO marketed property in the future. We had to book on very short notice so we didn't have a lot of choice. Learned my lesson.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Space was clean and tidy. Air conditioning was set to a very cold temperature making us wish we had brought jackets and pants. Fishing proved to be difficult when other families arrived to share the one pier. (There are 3 rentals on the property, all 3 bedroom I can assume since they all look identical) Pots and pans were lacking in quality and quantity. Gas stove only had 2 fully functioning burners. We were a family of 9 and only had one towel per person provided. As a whole, nice rental but lacking in small details.

Great Quiet Location

Staying here with kids and extended family. Great place if you are looking to social distant as it's on a private gated road with for houses well spaced out. House has been remolded recently so it's nice and clean. The private dock was great for catching specs with the kids.
