We had a blast staying at Bryan’s place. It is indeed an eclectic place, full of all kinds of cool architectural details, decor and character. The views of the open space adjacent to the property and surrounding hills are incredible. Even though it’s nestled up in the hills and super quiet, it’s also only a 15-minute walk to downtown Fairfax and maybe 30 min to Deer Park’s hiking trails. We didn’t drive the entire time we were there. Bryan was a very gracious host, helpfully meeting us on arrival to orient us to the house’s amenities, but then disappearing and allowing us our privacy for the rest of our stay. Be aware that there is a (very sweet) cat who lives in the house. Didn’t bother us, but good to know if you’re allergic. We would definitely stay there again. Total gem!
