Mera was the perfect spot for a long weekend on the Cote d’Azur. Gorgeous views and conveniently located near the train station with access to Monaco and Nice, and an easy drive to Eze Village. We highly recommend this apartment!

Really nice holiday apartment

While living in this cosy apartment we could really enjoy our holidays with hiking and cycling in a increadible landscape. Amongst Nice and Monaco we discovered both with our bicycles and got another impression. There is no food retailer in Éze Bord de Mer, the next we found was about 2.5 km distant or in Éze Village (altitude 430 m, reachable in 45 min on the Nitzsche-Trail). The flat has everything you need for a restful stay.

First the pros. The view is stunning. The location is great. It’s a short walk to the train station but you need to be fit. There are many stairs.The apartment is pretty much as pictured. The balcony looks identical. The furniture is the same but it’s a bit more run down than pictured. Another pro was whomever I was communicating with, did allow for a late checkout which was much appreciated. Where this property fell short for us was the cleanliness. It did not appear to be professionally cleaned prior to our arrival. The sheets had many hairs on them so I spent the first few hours there washing the bedding to ensure that we were sleeping on clean sheets. There was also a pile of hair in the shower and the powder room. We didn’t see a mop so we cleaned as best we could.Communication was difficult. In the description, it says there is street parking. When I was given written directions, I was asked to park in the driveway or at the end of the driveway. When we arrived, Esther let us know that we needed to park on the street. There are 2 cars that park in the driveway and there is a car and a motorcycle in the garage which made it a bit difficult to access the washer and dryer, but we could maneuver by and it was okay. We did end up getting a note on our car that said we weren’t allowed to park on the street.This apartment would be 5 stars if it was updated and deep cleaned. Helpful tips on where to go for food, water, etc…would have been appreciated as well.

Beautiful view

Lovely break and much needed change of scenery. Communications and check-in procedures all good and friendly reception. Lovely location to still be able to work remotely with great Internet speed. Parking available inside the property. Comfy and modern. Short walk to the train station, some restaurants and beach bars.
