Despite a tropical storm passing through during our stay, we had an amazing time. The house was just as described, and the host was very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely be back.
We had the best week at this home. The home was very clean, organized, spacious, and in the best location. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay in the home again.
We enjoyed our stay and loved this beautiful home. The tall ceilings, and wonderful floor plan made our stay in this luxurious home enjoyable. The primary bath has a great shower.
We loved this house and would stay here again! My 2 young kids, husband and I enjoyed the layout and had space for additional family members. This house is in walking distance to the historic area, or is a 2 minute drive if desired. Comfy beds too, which isnt always the case in hotels or other places. We would definitely recommend staying here.
House is super user friendly. Great open areas. Went with friends for a fun night away. The house added to the fun. We ate, danced, and played some of the many games Chris provided in the house. Easy walking distance to downtown and waterfront, will defiantly be back in warmer weather.
My family visited Cape Charles last weekend to attend a wedding in Bay Creek. We loved that the location of the home was inside the Bay Creek Community so that we could enjoy the community amenities, but also appreciated its proximity to town. The property was very spacious and comfortable, and the owner was responsive, friendly, and accommodating. We hope to stay there again when we visit Cape Charles in the future!
The home was spacious and had everything needed for our stay. Chris was awesome and immediately responded back to all our questions. Almost everything in lovely Cape Charles was within walking distance. Great restaurants, a state park, golf, shopping … lots to do even in September. And the town makes it clear that they LOVE their visitors!
We were absolutely pleased with our stay at this lovely home. The layout of the floor plan was perfect for us two adults, our teenager, and two younger children. Everyone had a comfortable bed, a convenient bathroom, and a wide-open, roomy, common area to gather in for family time. We liked the location, near the edge of town. So it was somewhat private but near enough to ride our rented golf cart to everything we wanted to see and do. The owner was responsive and kind. We would love to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone considering this home as your next vacation get away.

We loved Cape Charles a quiet town with beautiful houses and bayside beach. The house was very nice with plenty of room and in a good location a bit away from the historic district but still walkable to it. The host responded quickly with any questions we had. The house is all one level with stairs front and back, but there is a ramp in the garage with just one step up into the house.
Overall, we loved this house. Love that it was one level. It was very spacious. We especially loved the front porch which was also spacious with very comfortable furniture. Perfect location! We had to contact the owner regarding the Apple TV not working in the bedroom. He tried to be helpful, but we could not get it to work. Finally figured out how to watch it using Airplay on our IPad/Iphone.The locks and lights were quirky. The locks weren’t the easiest to use. A keypad lock would have been much more user friendly. There were so many lights and switches. Took us a few days to figure them out. Perhaps it would be helpful if they were labeled. The kitchen was beautiful, but the frying pans definitely need to replaced. Also, need more coffee mugs.Overall, would recommend staying here.
It's a veteran home. You know, the one that has been around for a while and has everything that you could possibly need for a comfortable vacation. Very spacious common area for game nights and bad weather days. Perfect one level home for those that have trouble with stairs.
Cons: It is almost a mile away from th beach. If you have small children, I recommend a golf cart.
No outside shower. There is a water hose inside the garage.
The bedrooms are carpeted but there was no vacuum cleaner available.
We had a great time in Cape Charles and the home was conveniently located to “downtown.”. Highly suggest renting a golf cart as it’s much easier to get to the other side of the community where the pool and larger beach are located. But, the amenities and home are well suited for a family with young kids - which we have.
Pros: The home is well stocked, the bedrooms are a nice a size, the owner is responsive and helpful, the home was clean, and check in and out were pretty seamless. There were plenty of towels, including those for the beach available for use. There were also chairs and an umbrella for use which we appreciated since we made a day trip to Sandbridge.
Things to Know: The garage doors are finicky and the hose to wash sand is located inside the garage. The bedroom TV doesn’t connect to the WiFi so it doesn’t work, and you can only watch Netflix. Our cell service was pretty spotty and only worked in the kitchen area - no big deal with the wifi - but we didn’t have good service with either (wifi or cell) in the bedrooms. If you plan to cook, bring some olive, etc. oil.
Cons: The master shower looks like it’s difficult to clean, thus it wasn’t that clean - there seemed to be mold in a lot of hard to reach places. The front porch and outdoor furniture was pretty dirty so we didn’t use it much.
We enjoyed our stay and thank you for hosting us.
This is an excellent property with plenty of space and an owner who is willing to work with you and your situation. Beautiful place to stay. We came down from Maryland to celebrate Christmas with our family. The house had plenty of space to enjoy with our daughter's family and not feel like we were in each other's way.
We also enjoyed evening hours in the town as the streets were closed and the town came alive with carriage rides, music, lights and open shops to celebratethe holidays! Magical!!!
We had a great time on our trip to Cape Charles. The home is beautiful and very spacious. Our kids are almost 5 and 18 months old, so it was great to have the crib in the kids room so we didn’t have to haul a Pack and Play. The kids also got a lot of use out of the wagon in the garage for walks into town. We also loved having access to the Bay Creek pool - it was the perfect way to break up our beach days. Would definitely rent again!
We had a wonderful time during our stay. The home is beautiful and comfortable. Because it is part of the Bay Creek community, we were able to use the Bay Creek community pool and tennis courts, which we enjoyed. But the house is also close to Cape Charles and feels like part of the town; we could easily golf cart to the beach and shops in town. Cape Charles is charming and a great place to visit with kids. We can't recommend it enough.
This house was a great home away from home in Cape Charles. The house was spacious and modern. We all enjoyed the comfortable beds, and spacious bathrooms. The house is clearly well taken care of. At first the location seems odd being alone in the front of the community, but it was great for us, close enough to walk to town, but also quiet. We took advantage of the benefits of Bay Creek using both the pool and the private beaches. The house had lots of the amenities for the beach including beach chairs, wagons, and beach toys. Thanks for a great vacation rental!
