Waterfront cabin. Kids LOVE this place!

Cozy waterfront cabin with sleeping loft (queen bed) and extra bed in living area (futon). 450 sq foot cabin. Stunning sunsets from this delightful waterfront cabin located among graceful Fir trees and Madronas - home to Eagles, Osprey, Woodpeckers, ducks, seagulls and otters. Take a walk down the hand-hewn driftwood stairs to the rocky beach, or build a fire in the fire pit and relax while watching the sun set. One guest said, 'This is like living in a National Forest on the water.'

This is the perfect setting for romance or a quiet best-friends getaway.

Native landscaped yard. Stairs to the beach are made of wood, driftwood and concrete with many handholds and railings. Elderly people or anyone with health issues may find this challenging. Please see photo.

The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, particularly on weekends.

Downtown La Conner is known for its antiquing, fine restaurants and local artists.

So, bring your s'mores and hot dogs, jeans and flip-flops for a day (or a week or a month - we encourage longer-term renters too) at the beach. Step back to a tranquil and simpler place and time.

PET OWNERS: Pet must be pre-approved. Pet is not allowed on furniture or bedding. Each pet is $100.00 for two or three nights. Stays longer than three nights will incur an additional fee of $30 per night. Pets must be under 20 lbs and non-shedding. Non-adherence to this policy may result in forfeiture of your deposit.

The Driftwood Cabin is located across Skagit Bay from the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station. he Navy/Airforce practice formations during the week. Sometimes they are over La Conner, other times they are further south or north and we don't hear them. They do not fly Friday night, Saturday or Sunday. Some folks enjoy the formations, other don't like the noise. We want you to be informed as we never know when, or if, they will be flying (except NOT on weekends.) It is a dull roar in the distance although since the Iran war it is more noticeable.

After your reservation has been confirmed directions will be made available to you through VRBO three days prior to check in.

We are kid and pet friendly, but not kid or pet-proof. We are not responsible for accidents on property.

Beautiful spot and a sweet little cabin with lovely uplifting views of the water and a pebble BeachThere are a couple of challenges to the property. If you’re not extremely able to bothered the stairs to the beach are rickety and uneven and unlike some places, there’s no coffee or tea provided.

Hi Joanne, thank you for your review. We so appreciate feedback. I did check the coffee/tea - there was coffee in the freezer and tea on the cupboard shelf. It was getting low so I'm restocking today. Yes, the stairs to the beach are made of a mix of wooden stairs, driftwood and concrete. There is a photo of them on this web site; Hopefully future guests will see that and the description (I'm 75 and I walked down them the other day and was thankful for the many handholds and railings) Best, Judy

Leaving this beautiful spot behind to continue our trip around the state was like Frodo leaving Rivendell lol no but seriously this place was just perfect for us. All the little details that make the place feel way more than just another vacation rental. The outdoor area is definitely one of the best and makes you want to just lounge around as much as possible. And that loft window?! Just the most magical views no matter the time of day. I’m soGlad this was the place we chose to stay two days in ( wish it was more) so we could really soak it in. Also la Conner itself is the cutest waterfront town full of great stores and amazing food. All of the people were so nice and the host was especially so! I ran into her on our way out and we chatted for a good bit and she was really the sweetest! I honestly cannot recommend this place enough and can’t wait to try and come back

This is a lovely, cozy cabin in the woods. You walk down the hill to the shoreline, and there are beach chairs to enjoy the view. Cabin very well appointed for such a small space; everything you need is there. And here's a personal thing I have that they fulfilled- there was a new sponge in the wrapper. Don't you hate when there is an old or no sponge for the dishes? One note, though- while there is a futon on the main area, it's hard to imagine more than 2 people in this space (unless it's a small child)- it really is set up for 2 people comfortably. Just an FYI. Would recommend! Very relaxing and scenic.

We have stayed here before and so enjoy the accomodations and the view! The host reached out to us to let us know that we could check in earlier, which was so appreciated! We like to cook our breakfasts and occasional dinner, so the large array of kitchen tools was wonderful. Our only small issue was that the shower and floor in the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned. Perhaps just an oversight this time? Overall, we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this spot. Thanks!

Great Cabin on the water!

A really great property on the water for a couple and pet or 2 couples!My partner and I loved our stay with our puppy. The walk down to the water is easy and the neigborhood is very quiet and private. A very close drive to town!The kitchen was nice to use and the ameninites were all great. Communication with Judy was easy and she was very kind. Loved staying here!

Solo trip

The property was great for my solo trip! Close to La Conner and beautiful views of Skagit Bay. It was smaller overall than I expected and would be very cozy for more than 1 or 2 people.

Perfect Gettaway

Beautiful, peaceful location. On the water with beach roaming at low tide. Quick access to LaConnor restaurants, shops, and very walkable. Easy drive to Deception pass. Place was as advertised and would definitely return!
