About this property
Sleeps 14-Marina, Pool, Roaring River & Table Rock
3 bedrooms, sleeping loft, 2.5 Baths, and endless ways to enjoy nature.
Our family is excited to welcome you to the Big Woods! We are located between Mark Twain National Forest outside of Cassville and adjacent to the Big M Army Corps Campground at Table Rock Lake. We love the easy access to the lake with the conveniences of a full service Marina, Big M Marina. On the other side of Big Woods Cabin is the Mark Twain National Forest Trails. This combined with the community pool near by and our family is never short of something to keep everyone outside and in nature. There's even an outdoor fire pit for s'mores after dinner.
Inside:
You will find our cabin warm and inviting. The bank of windows in the living room give beautiful views and make you feel right at home in the big woods. In addition, the open concept kitchen-living-dining area keeps everyone together but with enough room to spread out. The living room opens onto the large wrap around deck with a patio table. The indoor dining room table seats 6+ and there are 4 more seats at the kitchen bar and a second table that seats 4. The living room TV is ready for streaming with Starlink internet. The Big Woods kitchen is loaded with cookware and everything you need to prepare and serve a full meal or to just whip up something quick. We have enough dinnerware for everyone. Our household is split on coffee- so we offer both from the pot and a Keurig. Off of the kitchen is a 1/2 bath.
In addition, downstairs you will find 2 bedrooms with a jack-n-jill bathroom between them. The bedrooms each have a queen sized bed. There is also a washer and dryer (we provide the detergent).
Upstairs the kids and adults will love the sleeping loft with two- full over full bunk beds. The loft overlooks the living room downstairs. The large master suite is also upstairs and includes a king size bed and an attached bathroom. The bathroom has a stand up shower and dual sinks.
Outside:
Our home has full access to the tribute falls pavilion up the street. The pavilion is a rustic lodge equipped with a large inside table, community refrigerator, bathroom and stereo system. Please remember that the pool and pool house are only open during the summer months.
Go Jump in the Lake!! Big M Marina is approximately 1/2 mile away. Water sporting rentals are available at the marina as well as nightly slip rental (check out their website). The marina also offer's the Dock-n-Eat, one of table rock lake's floating restaurants. There is a convenience store that includes Bear's Den Ice Cream Parlor. Please note that the Marina restaurant is open Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Nearby:
There is a Dollar General, local grocery store, Pizza Hut, and other small town amenities at nearby Shell Knob, a 15 to 20 minute drive. The closest Walmart is an 18 mile, 30 minute drive away at Cassville. Cassville also offers restaurants and a small hospital with 24 hour ER services.
Looking for a day of fun outside the house ask us about nearby Branson, MO (we love the Stampede and Silver Dollar City), Eureka Springs, AR (quaint town full of artists and history), Northwest AR (Woo Pig Sooie, the free Crystal Bridges Art Museum and home of many well known entrepreneurs) and Springfield, MO (Bass Pro and Wonders of Wildlife Aquarium).
For the Kids:
We have traveled with kids for ten years now and know the difference a truly family friendly environment makes for everyone. Our house is ready for the youngest of guest with a pack-in-play, high chair, and baby gate for the stairs. We have a step stool in the bathroom and nightlights ready to go. There will be a small assortment of toys, board games and books. Our street is paved and dead ends- which limits traffic. We are happy to share a few pool toys and beach towels, but keep in mind that there is no guarantee of exactly what will be in the deck box. If you have a request, just ask and we will do our best.
Amenities:
TV, Blow dryer, Iron, Baby Items, laundry equipment, books, towels, toys, basic paper goods, basic pantry essentials... our most consistent feedback is about how many amenities we offer. We truly want you to feel like you're at home away from home.
I am available by phone (call or text) and email during your stay.
We are next door to Big M Marina and Table Rock Lake. The quiet side of the lake make boating and water sports even better.

About the host
Hosted by Tera Dover

My family and I own this house (multi-generation). My parents are area farmers and my husband and I work inside the agriculture and pet food industry. We all live within an hour of our lake cabin and have always enjoyed the amenities of the Shell Knob/Table Rock area.
Why they chose this property
This was a great combination of everything we were looking for in a lake home: extremely close to the lake, amenities of a pool, the cabin feel, and on the quiet side of the lake. We love the Big M area. In fact, long before we even thought of buying a property we spent many dates in a jeep on trails in the Mark Twain National Forest, just minutes away from our cabin. Driving down M highway brings back lots of memories for us.
What makes this property unique
Our most common feedback is how well stocked the house is. We truly want you to not miss anything you would have at home. The cabin feels like a cabin without being overwhelming. We love the flexibility of the pool and the lake. Plus after boating in Branson, we love this side of the lake- way less boat traffic!
