Clean and cozy. Loved the location— super close to everything we came to do. There’s a little pond and goats, chickens and pigs on the property. We’ll definitely be back!
Perfect location and easy to get to. You felt secluded. Cabin was clean and loved their bathroom essentials, they smelled lovely

This was the PERFECT spot to stay for the weekend as I raced in the Chattanooga IronMan 70.3. We will definitely be back next year and it was great to see quite a few fellow racers in the other cabins. Awesome location to the city, hiking, and relaxation.

This is our second time starting at the property and will not be our last! Perfect location — feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere with the convenience of town minutes away!!
This was the perfect place for our family of 6 to escape during Fall Break. It's really conveniently located near just about anything you could want to do in Chattanooga, but secluded enough to forget that you're in the city at all. We were there for four days, and the space was perfect to spend time both together and apart while getting in some good relaxation. We'll definitely be going straight to this property the next time we're in Chattanooga!

It was a pleasure hosting you and your family. Thank you for the awesome review, Adam! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, we are so glad you noticed. Our convenience to downtown is one of our great attributes. Please come back and stay with us at Wauhatchie Woodlands, soon!
With teens and the stay at home coziness we’ve experienced over the last year d/t COVID, we questioned staying in such a tiny place but … the loft, decks and hot tub proved to give our family enough space to relax after our daily adventures. We totally recommend this tiny cabin!
Check in was little confusing but one call fixed that.Me and family loved everything about cabin it was super clean cozy . All attractions we wanted to do was close .just not enough time to do it all . You guys had everything we forgot silverware grill etc we loved it and we plan on coming back .

Hi Amanda,
We regret that our location did not meet your expectations. I noticed that you included more detail in your Google review, which I will reference here for the benefit of others. Our property does border railroad tracks. We make every effort to disclose this to potential guests, we also provide noise cancelling machines in our cabins for the benefit of light sleepers. While I understand that you found it bothersome, many guests report the trains to be charming and nostalgic. We invite potential guests to contact our Guest Services Team with questions or to identify which cabins may be best suited to their personal needs. I recognize that you were also disappointed with our pricing, which is clear in our postings. We understand that value and suitability of a location is subjective, therefore we simply want to provide readers with a clearer understanding of what drove your rating. Thanks for visiting with us and we hope you enjoyed Chattanooga.
My two kids and I had an awesome time at Eden Cabin! We were less than 15 minutes from everything we wanted to do, yet our time at the cabin felt like we were a million miles away from daily life. The hot tub was my 4 year old's favorite part, while my 2 year old watched every train pass with great interest.
Literally the only issue we had was that there wasn't a bigger pot in the kitchen and so we had to commit the cardinal sin of breaking the spaghetti noodles in half to cook them. 😂 I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, and the kids are already asking when we can go back so they can sleep in the loft again. We'll definitely be back.

Thank you for your positive feedback and heartfelt endorsement, Katie! We're delighted you enjoyed the unique experience we strive to provide at Wauhatchie Woodlands. We are so glad your little ones enjoyed the spa and watching the trains go by! We are thrilled to hear you all will be back to join us. We look forward to your next trip to Chattanooga!
Our tiny cabin was just enough room for our family of 4. Very clean cabin inside and out and easily accessible. We spent most of our time exploring Chattanooga and only spent a few days, but it was just what we needed for a few days away from home.

About the host
Hosted by Timberroot Rustic Retreats
I have loved world travels my entire life; though as father of 8 kids, our movements have been more limited of late. I am an entrepreneur and business owner, lover of history, plants, nature, my faith, philosophy, and my family. We love Chattanooga for too many reasons to list, but also cherish variety and the beauty so many places in the world have to offer.
As hosts, you will find us responsive and accommodating and eager to share the treasures of our town and learn the treasures of your own. We know the trails, many waterfalls, parks, restaurants, and attractions of Chattanooga quite well and are willing to be a resource for our guests, offering an intimate knowledge of the area.
As a traveler, on business I tend to work, read and rest if I can, and prefer to travel with associates or family when I can. As a vacationer, I am eager to share and celebrate the diversity of creation and humanity with my family and to give them an explorers heart, a warmth for difference, and a bit of zeal for travel too. I prefer National Parks to cities, but cities carry their own attraction. I prefer mountains to beaches, forests to fields, and local to corporate or suburban.
Why they chose this property
This was an old trailer park. We saw great potential for it, as a gem of a natural setting so incredibly close to the city. We offer a natural escape right on Lookout by the beautiful city of Chattanooga with unique and modern rustic comfort for the perfect mountain side stay.
