Ultimate in privacy and seclusion!

Our 5,500-acre elk and whitetail ranch is a gated property featuring four unique, secluded cabins for our guests. Each private cabin is situated on its own picturesque lake and surrounded by nature.
Each cabin includes a wood-burning fireplace for warm, comfortable evenings and a 12-foot fishing rowboat for your enjoyment on the lake. This cabin is located deep within the property, accessible via a gravel road approximately five miles in.
Bear Cabin is our most private and secluded cabin, offering an ideal retreat. Additionally, each cabin is equipped with WiFi and a streaming stick for those occasional rainy days.

If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is it. A charming spacious studio log cabin with an amazing indoor fireplace or sit on the deck and overlook a private lake. All you hear at night are bird calls or pure silence. A unique and totally private experience.

Remote getaway

My partner and I stayed at the bear cabin. Remote and isolated with all the modern comforts. Incredible wildlife, saw many bull and cow elk including calves. Also many whitetail deer and birds.

Pure seclusion

It was just as it was described. Fully immersed in nature with no one but bald eagles, deer, & elk for miles around. The lake is gorgeous and the cabin suited our needs. Very lovely property!

Wonderful peaceful getaway with everything we needed. Last year a mother/daughter trip in the rain and mist on Bear Lake was perfect for catching up. This year a trip with my husband revealed a totally different character of a sunnier Bear Lake, with magnificent reflections of the treed shoreline in the lake. And our dog absolutely loved the sensory overload…

Secluded getaway

I really enjoyed staying at this cabin, it is very beautiful and secluded away from people for miles. If you want to get away from society, this is the perfect place to do it! The cabin had any necessities needed in the kitchen and the stay was great. I appreciate that I was able to bring my dog as well.

peace and seclusion

This was just what we were looking for. The weather was great! Nature at its finest. Everything you need is there. We had no human interaction the whole stay. Check in was easy. Jane responded to all our ?'s very quickly. That made it easy to prepare for our trip. I miss the constant sounds of wonderful! My only regret is not booking it for a longer stay! Next time for sure.

Absolutely Perfect

Everything was immaculately clean and the property was gorgeous. We had a wonderful time and will be back. But next time we won’t bring the Prius. Any normal car should be just fine on the dirt road leading to the cabin but the Prius bottoms out if you look at it funny.

Nature!

This property was exactly what we were looking for. A place to get away from the hustle bustle. From the beginning of the 5 mile trip off the driveway to finally reach The secluded bear cabin. It’s like a sightseeing mission for wildlife. Once at the cabin, which has its own lake , It’s just awe inspiring The cabin was very clean and the view is astronomical We will definitely be back. The wilderness staff are very nice people.. I highly recommend this place.

Definitely the ultimate in privacy and seclusion, as advertised! We just wanted a quiet get-away, and I'm so glad I found this cabin on its own lake! 5 miles back from the property's entrance, this is a very private place with no other people around. The cabin has lovely decor and great character. It was clean and had everything we needed. The bed and couch were both very comfortable...ahh :) The view of the lake was awesome. The paddle around the lake was wonderful. We also saw lots of deer and elk on the property. One thing to know is that the 5-mile drive to the cabin is on a gravel road that is really rough in places, so make sure your vehicle has good tires! And drive SLOW. Good idea to bring all the food and drinks you will need so you don't have to leave and come back during your stay.I wasn't too clear on the check-in procedure, but I gave a quick call to Jane, and she gave me the instructions. She was very helpful and responsive. We spent 3 days there and we really, really did not want to leave!We would love to come back to Bear cabin, or maybe try one of their other cabins with their own lakes. I highly recommend the Wilderness Reserve!

This place was absolutely amazing! Secluded property on a private lake. Amazing fishing, wildlife viewing (elk, deer) nature and serenity. Hiking on property is a little bit make your own adventure (limited trails) but the property is fantastic. The hosts are beyond accommodating.

Quiet and secluded. Jane and Gary were incredible. The scenery and fishing was excellent. The numerous whitetail and elk were amazing to see. Very quiet and friendly people everywhere. No complaints at all. If you want seclusion and a peaceful atmosphere this is the place to be. One note not a lot of stores around so if you plan on cooking bring a cooler and groceries with you. The accommodations are more than enough to prepare an incredible dish. But you will be too busy enjoying the quiet, the views, and the fishing to concern yourself with the loss of day to day conveniences. You won’t be disappointed.

Middle of nature

My husband asked me to find a cabin on a lake with no people. This was the perfect place for just the two of us. Didn't see a soul until we checked out. It was amazing to see all the deer and elk walking around.

Best Experience Ever

We were looking for a place to get away from it all - this was perfect. The elk were huge and beautiful, the private lake was amazing, there wasn’t another person for miles, and the cabin was super clean and comfortable!! We will definitely be back.
