Blackberry Bliss is a tranquil, romantic and well-appointed vintage cabin oasis on the banks of beautiful Austin Creek that offers a setting of breathtaking beauty. It was built in 1954 and has been lovingly restored and updated. The house features a private creekside beach and sunny, level backyard meadow. Blackberry Bliss's 1,000 sq ft redwood deck is complete with a private outdoor hot tub, custom oversized redwood chaise lounges, dining bistro, and even more seating providing views of the creek, yard, flowers and trees, including the majestic redwoods, and is enclosed and gated for pets. At night, you'll rejoice in the privacy of magical moon and star-filled nights.

The interior of the cabin is detailed with vaulted open wood beamed ceilings, French doors that seamlessly bring the outdoors in, custom finished redwood detailing and live-edge pass through bar. Blackberry Bliss is artistically furnished including an eclectic collection of both local and international art and artifacts.

Blackberry Bliss is well located within minutes of Guerneville, the Sonoma Coast/beaches and
other nearby historic Russian River towns, including Duncan's Mills, Jenner and Bodega Bay and offering several great restaurants, wine tasting, golf and fun shopping.


Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Blackberry Bliss is 2 people. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Parking: There is parking for 2 cars in front of the house. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance

Pet Friendly: This home welcomes up to 2 well-mannered dogs. If you have more than 2 dogs or other types of pets, please contact us to see if exceptions can be made before reserving.

Pure relaxation

This stay was spectacular - a true oasis in the redwood forest. My fiance and I celebrated our anniversary here and loved cuddling up next to the wood burning fire and looking at the stars from the hot tub. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away!

We stayed here in 2016 and had memories of a very special place. Would this trip live up to our memories, we wondered? Oh yes! Peace and tranquility in the most blissful setting by the creek. Surrounded by redwoods but with a lovely sunny backyard. The interior is perfect, thoughtfully set-up to handle our every need. Add in many little details, including lots of local artwork and you have an idyllic setting.

This place was freakin' amazing. Beautiful, private and soooo relaxing. The hosts were quick to respond and extremely helpful with a random problem that arose. Would love to stay here again! Oh, depending on the time of year, make full use of the various heaters they provide. It can get COLD at night.

PERFECT GETAWAY!

We spent a week in December at Blackberry Cabin and could not have been happier with our choice. The cabin was clean, comfortable and provided all the necessities. We spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the amazing Redwoods and hot tub. The hummingbirds were quite entertaining! We grilled out every night, then cozied up in front of the wood fireplace. Thank you so much for providing everything needed for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. We will definitely stay again!

The property is well represented by the photos. I agree with every positive review. It is very quiet and peaceful, aside from the whir of the hummingbird wings! My only issue is the yard is not fenced. This may not be a problem if you aren't visiting with dogs as I was.

Magical Cabin

We had a great weekend at this cabin. The location was easy to find, and a short drive to larger surrounding cities for additional food/drink/sights. We were allowed to arrive early, the cabin was clean, we felt secure, and the gated back deck was a huge plus with our dogs! The cabin is magical at night with the wood stove burning, and stars in the huge backyard space. The creek in the back was perfect for letting the dogs run around. What an amazing little gem! The house was clean, cozy, well maintained and I can't even describe the location. We were worried about being flooded out with the not stop rain we have had but the weather was so beautiful while we were there. We got to do a little "faux" fishing, walk with our fur-babies and even got a little sun kissed on Friday. We are empty-nesters reacquainting ourselves with the beautiful areas around us and this, by far, is one of the best we've seen. We felt as if we were in our own home but better!!

Among the redwoods

What an absolutely beautiful property. My wife and I traveled all the way from Pennsylvania never having visited northern California before. We spent hours and hours soaking up the magic of this calm retreat. Close to wineries and the fun town of Guerneville, and we had no idea until we left to drive up the coast, it is surprisingly close to the ocean. Every amenity you could ever want. Our mornings were spent fascinated by all of the hummingbirds feeding on the back deck. And the pictures of the property, while all beautiful, do not convey just how stunning the property really is.

Hummingbird Heaven!

We had a lovely stay! Right away, we noticed the swarm of hummingbirds that danced and fought over the feeders. Was fascinating. The creek is accessible and we spent some time hiking up the creek until we found the road again. This place is situated just right so that the afternoon sun hits the deck. It's an ideal spot for a double couple get-away or maybe a small family. Kitchen was well stocked and pleasant to use. Plenty of options for climate control if you want to be cozy. The hot tub was perfect and easy to operate. There were what looked like mosquitos outside but we never got bit. A very serene and quiet place that we would definitely revisit.

Quiet getaway surrounded by redwoods!

This is a beautiful little house in the woods with direct river access (Austin Creek) from the backyard. Unfortunately it rained for our entire stay and the first night we even lost power because of the storm in the area. We realized that if you lose power you also lose water as the water pump needs electricity to run. There is also no cell phone reception either so we had to drive to Guerneville to be able to place calls. Without running water we considered to pack our things and head back home but luckily power and water came back at around 4pm that day. It kept raining throughout our stay but the house kept us cozy and warm. We were able to take some short walks outdoors and the place is beautiful. I could tell how amazing this place would be if we had better luck with the weather. Even with our trouble with the storm we enjoyed our stay! If you are looking for a quiet private getaway in the woods I highly recommend this place.
