Once again we absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful bach. Such a lovely property with so many added extras that made our time there really enjoyable! (e.g., Nespresso machine, kayaks). We love how close to the estuary and town the house is, and you can't go past the beautiful view from the front deck. The hosts were easy to contact and got back to us quickly with any answers to questions that we had. Definitely hope to come back next year.

Great retreat that is handy to everything that is required for a holiday. We loved the changing view from the living area as it takes in a tidal estuary.

Thank you so much for your review.
The estuary constantly changes throughout the day with the tide and the sea birds coming and going, plus when the tide is out it is possible to walk across the estuary as a short cut to Tairua village.
Thank you. We had another amazing holiday staying in this house. A lovely home which you can truly relax and enjoy. Close to all amenities, we would highly recommend.
Kids loved kayaking in the estuary and playing football on the lawn.

A comfortable well-appointed property in a nice quiet location. The outlook is very nice. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible which meant we left early, however we hope to stay at this property again in the future.

This cosy home was perfect for our young family. Lovely views, all the amenities - 2 bath, heat, wifi, grassed area. We enjoyed a bbq on the deck overlooking the water. We arrived on Good Friday and some friendly locals offered us a couple of beers to take home. Nice little seaside town.
Lovely house with great views. Very peaceful and quiet. Lovely walks nearby. The owners are easy to communicate with. I would recommend this house and definitely stay again. There’s also a bit of fresh produce/ herbs available in the garden,,which is a lovely touch.

Thank you so much for your review. Most appreciated
This Bach is a perfect peaceful getaway location in Tairua. We stayed for one week and enjoyed the ever changing views from the spacious deck as well as making use of the kayaks and excellent location. Take a walk around the estuary , visit the many beaches in close proximity - idyllic stay. Hosts were fantastic, easy to deal with and very organised. Highly recommend.
For once the house met the expectations set by the description and the photos - a lovely house with everything you need. In a great location and those views across the lagoon? Wow.

Dennis & Ros have a long history in tourism dating back to the late 1970's. Ros having been involved in travel in NZ before going off on her OE and meeting Dennis and jointly establishing a safari company and inbound travel agency in Namibia. We moved, with our two children, to NZ in 1998, where we have been involved in a variety of businesses.
Why they chose this property
When we decided it was time to buy a bach we had a set of criteria that we had to match. No easy feat. After several years to travelling in all directions from Auckland in search of the ideal spot, we were giving up hope. On another visit to the Coromandel we were passing through Tairua and noticed a board for a sub-division. We decided to have a look at this and as we entered the private estate saw this section. It was exactly what we were looking for. We went straight in and bought it. Easiest commission that agent has ever earned, he never lifted a finger. It took about three years for us to design and build our piece of heaven.
What makes this property unique
The easy access to the Tairua village and all of its facilities was an attraction. We loved the outlook and the fact that we could enjoy a wilderness experience out the back door. Enjoy an easy kayak paddle up the Pepe Stream past farmland and native bush.
