Loved our stay in this peaceful location, fantastic to watch the birds and hear the birdsong in the morning and evening. The property was very clean with everything we needed and Bethney was easy and friendly to deal with. Thanks so much, we'd love to stay again.

Beautiful relaxing location to spend a few days away with family. Located down a secluded private road, the Bach is set overlooking the tree tops and the lake, and just minutes away from the lake via a gravel walkway. Loved our stay, and will be back.

Loved the house and location. Quiet, private, roomy house with excellent communication and instructions left by Bethany. Highly recommend this stay at this location. Omori is such a beautiful place to stay.
Was there for a family wedding and it was a beautiful day.
Amazing place to stay. Despite the bad weather the house was warm, the views amazing, and the sound of the birds so relaxing. There was board games and a great selection of books, which meant we were able to switch off from the world and enjoy some family time in the most perfect location. Can't wait to stay here again

This was a wonderful place to stay - stunning views over the lake, a short walk to Pukawa Bay and access to the stunning Omori, Pukawa walk. I was particularly impressed with the abundance of kitchen utensils and special mention to the sharp knives which made food preparation a dream! I would highly recommend a stay here

Thank you Amy! So glad you enjoyed our wonderful lake views & lovely location
What an outstanding stay. Walking through the door and seeing the view brought a tear to my eye it was that fantastic. The view from the balcony was to die for. The bird song, the canopy of the forest and the tree ferns made for the best stay of our NZ holidays. The house was very comfy, warm and the upstairs bed really comfortable.
A lovely Lockwood bach with high ceilings and upstairs bedroom with on suite surrounded by bush and birdsong.
Pole house clean and immaculate with lake views adjacent to lakefront bush walk. Wonderful!!

Thank you Caroline - so glad you enjoyed your stay at Birdsong & Lakeviews!
What a great spot. If you like the feeling of being in the bush surrounded by native birds while still being a 5 min walk for takeaways this is the place for you! We watched the sun come up over the lake from our bedroom, loved the Bush track right out front that goes to multiple beaches and relaxed on the deck eye to eye with tūī, kererū and pīwakawaka. Bach is well equipped with all the conveniences and plenty of gear to cook up a feast. Enjoyed our stay, thank you!

So glad you enjoyed our special place.
Would love to host you again anytime!
We used Birdsong as an opportunity for two close friends to get together and have a catch-up, enjoy some walking and leave the troubles of the world behind, Birdsong provided all that and more. The house was beautifully clean and tidy and perfectly suited to our needs with everything anyone could ask for provided. Highly recommended.
We so enjoyed the peace, lake views and especially the birdsong at this bach. We had 8 peaceful days where we enjoyed the extremely thoughtfully selected books in the library, all the facilities of the house and the care that has been taken of it. When we needed help, Bethney got straight back to me.
Couldn't have been better, thanks Bethney :)

By far the best bach we have ever stayed in. It looked and felt like a much loved, and very well looked after family home. The bach is superb, clean, cozy, big windows, amazing views on to the lake and the bush. Great beds and shower. Well equipped kitchen, even cutlery, plates, cups, etc are beautiful. Loved swimming in the lake and playing frisbee on the beaches nearby.
Would love to come back again. Communication with the owners was terrific. Thank you!
Beautiful location - stunning view from the deck and upstairs; Bush setting and birdsong so peaceful. Yes, house creaks but it is so spacious and welcoming. Omori has all you need (watch out shop prices are steep and book fish n chips early in busy times). Walk to Pukawa Bay is more like 10 mins but easy, only steep coming back up. The beach there is spectacular and has a toilet. Nearby walks are well worth it. Only 10 mins drive to hot pools and 15 mins into Turangi which has really nice cafes. Will definitely be back; we've travelled a lot and this is definitely one of the best we've been to for such a reasonable price. Thanks!

The property was very clean and well appointed with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Beds very comfortable.
Would suggest you update your website information to reflect that linen is not provided.
We would happily stay again at this property. Thank you
We absolutely loved it - the house is so private yet just off the track to the lake, surrounded by trees and bush; the view over the trees to the lake is just magic; everything was super clean, large and communication was so easy. We’ll be going back.

Amazing views and bird song (although a bit early in the morning for our liking!). Great access to bush walks and lake access a short walk away. The bach itself had everything we needed, very well equipped.

Wonderful property, not great service
It has wonderful views of the lake and is nestled very nicely in the bush. The home itself is a lovely Lockwood style home with wonderful books, DVDs and artistic bric-a-brac.
Unfortunately, a couple of days before the rental was to start I informed the manager of the property that one of the guests was ill and couldn't come. As a result of the change in circumstances, we needed linen and towels. I requested to rent the offered linen and towels. They replied that they were unable to provide the linen and towels as the rental had already been set up for our stay. This meant we had to travel 3 hours to Taupo on the Sunday and spend $$$ to purchase bedding and towels for the stay. In my view, this is poor service and inflexibility. After I raised this with them and suggested that they offer packs at the property that people pay for as needed, they proceeded to argue with me instead of taking the suggestion in the spirit it was intended, namely to assist others in a similar situation in the future.
The house is nicely maintained, clean and well equipped. Sitting up in the bush with plenty of sunlight it was a little slice of heaven. Great location with easy access to all the lake, river and national park have to offer. Bethany was a pleasure to deal with. Hope to come back one day soon!
