Amazing spaces and easy indoor-outdoor flow. Sleeps 6+ (3 bedrooms w queen beds, convertible 2nd lounge on mezzanine). All day sun, large private decks looking towards a myriad of trees and the beautiful hills. Star gaze at night. Wake up to bird song. Big section, BBQ, unlimited WiFi ,TV w Disney Plus & Netfix, great sound system, dishwasher, 2 showers, bathtub. Garage and carport, plus ample off-street parking. Walk to safe swimming beach opposite stunning Kapiti Island, great cafes, restaurants and shops - all just a few minutes stroll away. Plenty of walks and activities close by, including trips to one of Aotearoa/New Zealand's most precious nature reserves - Kapiti Island. Max. 8 people. We prefer 5 nights minimum. When you rent this house, you get to hang out with Selma, our friendly cat. She will love to have a cuddle with you in exchange for keeping her food/water bowls filled up ;) NOTE: You are expected to clean the house before you leave and bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels)

Beautiful house and beautiful people!

We loved our stay at Fred and Åsa’s house. Genuinely felt like a home away from home, loved the location and added activities within the property which meant we never really strayed too far from the house. Also recommend visiting Kapiti Island if you get a chance which Åsa highly recommended and we loved. Selma the cat was lovely and provided lots of cuddles and entertainment. Couldn’t speak more highly of the stay. Thank you again Fred and Åsa!!!

Amazing house, wonderful hosts

We had an amazing time staying at Åsa and Nathan's home. They were kind enough to let us hold our small wedding there. The garden was perfect and the open plan and indoor outdoor flow lent itself perfectly to this sort of celebration. The house is quite big with plenty of space inside and outside and the upstairs makes a great second lounge. There's two levels in the garden, one with a trampoline so great for older kids. Communication with Åsa was so easy and she was happy to answer the many questions I had about the house on the lead up to the day. We bought some of our own glassware and crockery but the house has everything you need and they're happy for you to treat the house as your own and make yourself at home. We are so grateful for their generosity and allowing us to use their home for such a special occassion and we hope to come and stay again. Would recommend to everyone!

Great house to stay in

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. House is very comfortable, light and well equipped. Great mezzanine floor and basketball hoop for teenagers! The cats were easy to look after and friendly. Easy to walk to the beach and close to lots of other places. Hosts were very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend.

Quirky spacious house with great ambience in a perfect location for us as family nearby. Owner went out of her way to babysit our frozen Turkeys until we arrived which was very appreciated. Big thanks for being so kind.

This property is large family home, it reflects the owners and provides a quirky, comfortable space for visitors. The outlook toward the mountains provides a quiet and serene environment to relax in. The house is well equipped however we had a brief stay using the house only as a place to sleep so did not use any of catering facilities . This is a great location and easy access to Raumati beach and Raumati South. We enjoyed our time in Raumati and having the cats to care for which was really very easy.

We loved this home away from home! It was warm and inviting as well as being modern and a great place for all ages to enjoy. Asa and her whanau live in an awesome part of the Kapiti Coast and we enjoyed going to the beach most days. Great cafes and pub close by too. The house itself had everything we needed for our week stay and my son especially liked the basketball hoop and swing outside. Lovely open spaces. We loved it here. Fantastic - a great place to stay and relax. Large deck to sunbathe on, large rooms, great kitchen, plus two lovely cats to keep you company, Great location - 5 mins away from shops and beach. No complaints.

We built this house in 2009 to raise our children in a relaxed, fun place. We had talked about building our 'Dream Home' ever since we met - just 17 years old (when the exchange student from Sweden and 'kiwi' boy fell in love!) We combined ideas and designs from both New Zealand and Sweden to represent our different heritages. The house is large, to cater for our many social events. We like sharing it.

Raumati! Beautiful, peaceful, vibrant Raumati! Relaxing and private when you want it to be - humming and social just a short stroll away. Having the sense of privacy mixed with the closeness to cool cafes and the beautiful swimming beach is really what makes it. Wake up to bird song in the morning and decide what YOU want to do. Nature is all around you.

What makes this property unique

Large private decks with views to the trees and hills. The house is designed to easily heat up and cool down. The spaces are very generous and uncluttered. It really is 'easy' to be in this house. The view of the hills from the mezzanine floor is lovely, and Wainui mountain to the south is stunning.
