Situated at Tapeka Point, just two minutes from historic Russell village with shops, award winning restaurants and boats trips.

This cozy one bedroom beach house has a comfy new queen bed with stunning sea views and the gentle sound of waves. If you must share, the living room has an ottoman that converts to a single. Newly furnished with a modern beach theme. Air conditioned for year round comfort. New kitchen, bathroom and flooring.

Breathtaking views extend from Waitangi out into the Bay. No traffic noise or tourists walking past. Relax on the covered verandah or outside in the sun on Cape Cod chairs or bean bags. Leave your towel behind as the all tide swimming beach is just steps away. Rinse off under the HOT outdoor shower. Explore walking tracks and Kiwi habitat..

Tapeka Bach has a full kitchen and BBQ if you wish to self-cater or collect a take out. Better still enjoy a romantic meal on the Russell waterfront, just two minutes away. Facilities include a Nespresso machine, TV, DVD, Bluetooth Sound System, safe, free WiFi, AC, washing machined dryer

An absolutely fantastic location, magnified by the beautiful weather we had! Hearing the sounds of the ocean, seeing the beautiful blues & greens in the sea, fossicking on the beach, hearing the native birds and only 5 minutes from town. A great place for rest and reinvigoration! Truely a unique coastal bach position on a beautiful coast. Clive is a great host. We will be back again for sure!

A beautiful relaxing spot!

We arrived at the house and instantly felt relaxed looking at the beautiful view of the harbor from the covered veranda. The house is well equipped and the perfect getaway for two!

Fantastic bach and location

Tapeka was an amazing place for our Bay of Island holiday base. A brilliant bach with beautiful views in a lovely quiet settlement with friendly folk - direct access to a quiet beach was brilliant. Location is easy for Russell etc - bach had everything we needed - comms with the property manager was excellent. A sensation spot that we'd love to go back to one day.

A piece of paradise

This property is amazing, it is literally the definition of 'beach house', beautiful views, an all-tide-swim beach and the sound of waves in the background. The bach itself is also very well-appointed and we had a comfortable stay. We cannot recommend Tapeka bach enough.

This cute cottage close to the water is small but has what you need for a couple. Great venue for an active holiday of walking, swimming and kayaking. Or just gazing out to sea. Not very private if that matters to you.

Had a great time, and what a lovely site, sitting on the deck looking straight over the beach. Thanks Clive! Would happily stay again.The only negative was web-site check-in related: It apparently seemed necessary to both register with another (parent?) booking organisation and then install and use a phone app, in order to be able to communicate with the host about check-in.

Tiny house but has all you need for 2, and right on the beach!

Great view and wonderful sunsets! Safe, tranquil neighbourhood, desolate in winter (great!) the beach is all yours!, but probably you're not alone in Summer here... 5 min drive to Russell, Long Beach... It's a tiny house so 2 is fine, 3 is a crowd, except a baby (smiley)

A bach on the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beachfront Escape. It's perfect for a couple to relax and get away from it all. With a view of Tapeka Beach and the bay, it's very peaceful. The wraparound porch is great for relaxing. If it gets windy, just move to another side. The kitchen is well furnished, everything we needed to cook at home some nights. Other nights, Restaurants in Russell are just 2km away. Lots of sliding doors to let in the fresh air. We didn't need heat or air conditioning.

Amazing beach house with a spectacular view

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful and well-equipped house right by the sea and couldn't get enough of the enchanting sea view with its ever-changing watercolour. Enjoying our morning coffee and evening BBQ on the gorgeous deck, going for a swim just in front of the house and taking advantage of the generously provided kayaks created beautiful memories for us and the wish to come back again soon. Not to forget our lovely host, who was so kind and welcoming that we instantly felt at home. Thank you so much Clive!

Paradise without penance!

This property is the best - even better than described, with very attentive hosts, well appointed, excellent amenities, and the perfect place to unwind. We thought we had arrived in heaven, though St Peter was nowhere to be found, so no embarrassing admissions required on arrival. Watch or walk the beach; walk to Russell to earn coffee and treats (lovely bushwalk with a hill at the Russell end); walk to the peak behind the Bach; treat this as a destination in itself - such a beautiful setting.

A perfect location and Bach for a quiet get away.

We stayed at beautiful Takepa Point Bach for 7 nights in early Feb 2022. The wrap around deck provides protection from all weather and the close proximity to the beach was wonderful. This was a wonderful stay. Perfect for a couples retreat weekend away. The location is superb and so close to Russell if you wanted to get out for a brunch or supplies - highly recommended.
