The beautiful Bay of Islands is a destination not to be missed for overseas travellers or New Zealanders alike, and this wee gem of a bach is the perfect location for your Bay of Islands experience - nestled in Parekura bay overlooking native bush and the Bay of Islands itself. Several options for an evening stroll over the hills behind or for the more energetic hike to historical Whangamumu whaling station, Cape Brett lighthouse or from Rawhiti over the hill to the magnificent white beach at Oke Bay. The beach below the bach is a 2 min walk thorugh a bush access path, very safe for swimming, kayaking or exploring. For the keen scuba divers there is wreck diving and the local dive company launches at the boat ramp below the bach! For the boaties exploring the islands and alighting to do the many DOC walks is a must! -.
