The Verano Countrystay is located at the end of a quiet road within the Bridge Pa Triangle Wine District and is the perfect base for exploring all that Hawkes Bay has to offer. The property is conveniently close to Hastings and Havelock North and is an easy 25 minute drive to Napier.

This is the perfect base for exploring the wine region either by car, or on the Hawkes Bay cycle trails. A short ride down a couple of quiet roads will put you onto the formed cycle ways of the wine district and onwards.

Special events in the area include the Food and Wine Challenge and the Bridge Pa Triangle Wine Festival. We are especially convenient for weddings at the Villa Maria Gimblett Gravels winery.

Verano Countrystay is a member of the Bridge Pa Triangle Wine District Association and we can provide guidance for exploring the area and point you in the direction of some really great wine makers.

Verano Countrystay is situated on a working agricultural property and is the home of the Hollywood Miniature Horse stud.

Standard rate for 1 or 2 guests using ONE bedroom with a queen size bed should be booked for TWO adults.

Standard rate for 2 to 4 guests using TWO bedrooms, each with queen sized beds, should be booked as THREE adults.

Standard rate for 3 to 5 guests using the TWO bedrooms with queen size beds and ONE bedroom with a king single bed, should book as FOUR adults.

Our guests have exclusive use of the Verano Countrystay irrespective of the number of bedrooms booked

Prices do not include the HomeAway service fees which are charged in addition to our rates.

Special event rate and minimum stay requirements may apply at times.

We have good cellphone coverage for all New Zealand Service providers and free WiFi is provided.
The Verano Countrystay has Sky TV basic channels and lots of movies stored on the SKY HD player.

Extras:
Linen and bathroom amenities are included and, as we use a commercial linen service, you can just leave your bed unmade when you depart without feeling guilty. First day breakfast provisions are provided.

Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to clean the house and do the dishes before you leave.

Perfect Country Break

An ideal place from which to explore the beautiful Bridge Pa area and further afield. Really well equipped little house with three good sized bedrooms snd all the home comforts one could want. Would love to stay here next time we are in the area.

Verano Country Cottage.

From the warm welcome from Tony the host, to the cleanliness and comfort of the refurbished cottage, and the private rural setting complete with miniature North American ponies birds and rabbits in the surrounding paddocks , this was a lovely base for our holiday. Highly recommended for couples and families and within an easy drive to all the attractions of the region including nearby wineries.

Tranquil retreat

Very comfortable, well appointed property. Tony was delightful and very informative, ensuring we had everything we needed for our stay, including freshly baked bread on arrival. Although 30 mins from Napier it was an easy journey when we needed to make it. Local vinyards were exceptional, thanks to Tony for guiding us. We had a great stay .

Peaceful, quiet farm stay.

Loved our stay. Tony greeted us when we arrived and gave us info about the property and the local area. There was also freshly baked bread, eggs, milk, cereal, etc. The house was clean and private, equipped with everything we needed. Located in a peaceful area with friendly horses and fruit trees.

Comfortable, quiet and convenient to wineries

The property is very comfortable, extremely well equipped and in a beautiful, quiet location. The host gave us some great recommendations for local wineries and some sight seeing. At night it was so dark we could see the Milky Way and during the day the property was surrounded by birds, the quails and their babies were a delight. I would highly recommend the property.

Lovely spot for a quiet break

This accommodation lived up to all of the previous reviews and the information provided by the owner. The spot was lovely and quiet, close to plenty of amenities including wineries and cycle trails. Arriving to the house to find a freshly baked loaf of bread and having some basics like butter and jam at the ready to enjoy on the fresh hot loaf was definitely the icing on the cake. Thanks Tony for being such a great host.
