We had a wonder stay! The house had everything we needed and was very clean. We very much enjoyed watching the activity at the park. Our host was wonderful and provided great recommendations for activities, breweries, and dining.
Great place for our family of three. Quiet neighborhood and great location for nearby and faraway adventures. Clean and comfortable. Host very responsive.
The apartment had everything that I required for an enjoyable stay in Dunedin. It was very comfortable and well furnished, including washing facilities. For a single traveller it was ideal.
Great value for money, great location, great communication with owner. The property was exactly as described. It had everything we needed for our stay, and there was enough space for all of us. Having the park at the back gate was awesome - we played ball games every evening. We’d definitely book again.
Property was great, clean, easy location to the city. Would happily stay again. The only improvement i could think of would be to add some kind of ventilation system to the property, understandably windows were dripping and we only had a tea towel or our bath towels to use to mop them up daily which then meant sharing a bath towel as you cant get anything to dry in winter.

Thanks for your feedback. Since your stay we have made some improvements in this regard with the installation of a ground moisture barrier and additional underfloor insulation. It’s made a significant difference.
There are always spare towels available on-site. My apologies if you didn’t locate them during your stay.
We were out and about every day and needed a quiet restful comfortable base at the end of each busy day. This was ideal. Having a cleaner come in at the end of the stay assisted us to catch our flights without rushing around. For us it was handy to CBD and St. Clair.
We really enjoyed our stay in Dunedin. Thank you!
The location to the city etc was fantastic.
Whilst compact, we felt comfortable for our 2 night stay for a family of 4.
We would recommend to fellow travellers.
A consensus from the family would be to upgrade to a smart tv given the great WiFi available.
Thanks again for hosting us.

Thanks for your feedback Kate. I will consider upgrading the TV in 2025, there are currently around 20+ TV Channels provided on the Freeview. Most guests choose to use the HDMI cable (provided) to connect their laptop to the TV and enjoy the TV apps (Sky, Netflix etc) that you already subscribe to.
The place is easily accessible by public bus. We always used the bus to visit the city. It takes 45 minutes to walk to the centre, and it is a varied route. Next to the house is a sports field, which offers plenty of space for the eye.
We thought this property was great. It had everything and morecthat we needed. Warm and cosy and so well equipped. It was nice to be able to relax in a place that had plenty of room. Nice outlook over park. Close to city for shopping and sightseeing. I woukd like to come back in summer and enjoy the outdoor area as well.
We found this Bach easily even in the rain! It’s clean and well supplied. Owner was very easy to communicate with and he offered help if anything was needed.
Warm and comfy.
Comfy sunny functional cottage with wonderful outlook and close to everything. Felt safe but private with a window to the world. Love seeing people, families and pets using park next door. Also twilight on houses opposite. Good facilities warm secure practical .
The stay was tidy and private. The kitchen lino was a little tired but the kitchen was new, spacious and well equipped. There was also a washing machine and dryer if we needed it. The heat pump seemed to only go on one setting but it was sufficient for mid-winter. The hot water cylinder was quite noisy but other than that the neighbourhood seemed quiet and we were close enough to where we needed to go without being in the city. There was a lovely view onto the courtyard on one side and out over a sports field on the other.
The batch itself is nice and well located. The cleanliness was not very top and the instructions for the handover were unclear and contradictory. Some of the furniture could have an update.

I’ll private message you to get some more details, to better address the items you have raised.
There was a used mattress up against the wall behind the sofa which wasn't very nice. The balcock kept sticking in the cistern in the loo and the windows needed cleaning. The house itself is ok but needs some TLC nd new furniture.

Hi Susan, thank for letting me know about the Cistern. No1 else has mentioned it to me but I’ll attend to that and have my cleaner do the windows. Generally the spare mattress is only left out when there are more than 2 people staying (It’s for the fold out sofa bed), I must have overlooked removing for your stay sorry, I would have gladly come and attended to that during your stay if you’d let me know.
Great location, clean, good amenities-awful sofa bed
The sofa bed is so terrible that we slept on the floor. Sofa bed had no mattress, just thin bits of foam. Metal rails digging in. Honestly unsleepable. If you are a party of 2 this place is great. If you are counting on sleeping in sofa bed don't book. We were incredibly disappointed and lack of sleep on our holiday just ruined it.

Hi Denise
I’m sorry you didn’t mention this during your stay. There is a spare mattress for the sofa bed that could have sorted this if only you’d let me know.

heat pump didn,t work ,large clock didnt work, water pressure in shower poor, cupbord door handle missing, vinyl in kitchen bubbling up, furniture looks like it came from a students flat .......if you want to drink your cup of tea out of a cup you will have to bring your own, here there is only over sized odd mugs! and bring your own milk. but one really good thing is the bed was really confortable .......i know i am being picky ,,,its cheap accomadation.and you get what you pay for

Hi Paterson
Thanks for your comments.
I’ll have a look at cups and clock.
The heatpump works fine. I notice you had it on cooling setting, there’s other heating options in the house as well.
All the best.
