Very well equipped comfortable cottage and Anita and Barry are lovely hosts. No eggs but there were some great little goodies to enjoy with a coffee. A peaceful spot which suited us and our cavoodle perfectlyDefinitely recommend.
We had a lovely stay. The property had lots of space for our dog and the kids to run and play, and for chilling under the trees with a book. The bedrooms were comfy and nicely decorated. The kitchen was very clean and well equiped, though could do with a few more sleep knives.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Barry and Anita's cottage. The hosts were very helpful and even took us to feed the cows and hens. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Miranda area.
We couldn't fault this property. Nice and clean, comfy beds and everything you could think of to make our stay enjoyable. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and as for the fresh farm eggs delivered to our door for breakfast - luxury!!
Thankyou so much Barrry and Anita.
This was the last of 5 properties we stayed at and was by far the best in terms of providing everything you'd want for a relaxing stay. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, great communication before and also the pleasure of meeting Barry and helping feed the chooks. Fresh farm eggs too. Wish we had skipped the night in Auckland and headed to the airport from here instead.
Three of us stayed here for a few nights for an informal writing retreat. It was a spacious and comfortable place to get out of town and focus on work with few distractions. The cafe was an easy walk up the hill when we needed a break.
The only downside was that we had been looking forward to a soak in the hot tub, only to discover that it appears to be an error with the listing, as there is no hot tub at the property.
Self checked in but we felt so warmly welcomed by Anita who spent some time showing us to meet her son's family up the hill, the property and their farm animals, with feeding and fresh eggs to take home. Even some peacock feathers! Our daughter loved being greeted by the turkeys and some peacocks in the morning that came up close to the deck.
Such a lovely well equipped, warm, spacious and stylish property. Even our pet bunny felt so at home. Had a minor issue with bore water running out, but Anita promptly addresses it. Thank you so much for having us! We really love your property. On our favourite list!
Everything was perfect. Lovely comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Beautiful surrounds and garden and close to everything we wanted to do. Good contact with our hosts.

Thank you for your kind words. Also thank you for leaving Cottage neat and tidy. It was a pleasure having you all staying the Cottage. Kind Regards Anita and Barry.
The place was very nice. Cutlery, furniture, decorations all classy and yet the place feels like home, with friendly and helpful hosts Anita and Barry. Only a few minutes away from the bird hides for those who want to see the migrating birds. We enjoyed our stay very much.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was pristine and the hosts very friendly. Barry makes excellent beer. The wee visit to meet more family and feed the chooks and pigs was a treat on Sunday morning. Fresh home made eggs a total bonus too. Totally recommend this little bit of heaven.
A lovely relaxing place. Very quiet. Just the thing for a low key break. It’s a pity we could only stay one night. Fresh eggs from the hens for breakfast was a win!
What a fantastic stay we had. The house was clean and tidy. The property was just lovely to still around. We recommend this to anyone who wants a place to unwind and relax at. The owners were so friendly too.
We had a lovely quiet weekend away. The accommodation was perfect, clean, tidy and very peaceful. The owners were very friendly. They gave us fresh eggs for breakfast and told us to help ourselves to the mandarins on the tree. The beds were extremely comfortable too. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend away. Thank you!
An excellent Bach in a beautiful countryside setting, the facilities are wonderful as are the hosts Anita & Barry. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area with our 2 dogs who were also made very welcome at the Bach. We were treated to a supply of fresh eggs daily from Barry & of course a daily visit from Rufus! We highly recommend the cottage & our hosts, we will be back!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our safe at this beautiful bach. The surroundings were amazing and extremely relaxing. Our only wish is that we could have stayed for longer. Will definitely be back again
We stayed 5 nights and had an AMAZING time! We enjoyed a modern home with a lovely kitchen, comfy beds, wifi, sky TV, and a gorgeous sunny fenced yard for us and our dog. Then we were treated to visits from Rufus, free range eggs every day, fresh fruit from the trees in the yard, and homegrown tomatoes and potatoes. Barry checked in that we were doing okay, otherwise left us to enjoy our stay. Every day we were able to drive up the coast to check out the various beaches and regional parks - we found several spots where our dog was allowed to play off lead. Thanks for an amazing week
Lovely owners, lovely clean and modern cottage with everything you need, they have thought if everything, even phone charges!
Peaceful and safe area, would be great for family! Not far to great pub and boat ramp! We loved our stay!!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! We will be back!
What a beautiful home in a great location. Far exceeded any expectation. You can tell they go the extra mile with all the little details. Barry and Anita were lovely and welcoming even taking the kids up to feed the chickens. Rufus the dog was a star!! We would absolutely go back again.

It was absolutely a pleasure to have you and your beautiful family as well as the dogs stay with us. Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and thank you for leaving the Cottage clean and tidy. Warm Regards Anita, Barry and Rufus.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at the Miranda Valley Orchard Cottage. Beautifully located in a rustic setting, well appointed throughout, and a very welcoming host. Barry couldn't have been warmer in his meeting with us, and we enjoyed our many discussions with him about the area, farm life, etc. And the fresh eggs in the morning were an added plus! We very enthusiastically recommend the Orchard Cottage as a nice respite from a hectic itinerary/city life.
