About this property

Quiet cottage in 2 Mile Bay

This wee bach is tucked away on a private rear section in 2 Mile Bay. The cottage has 1 bedroom (queen bed), an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge. Shower, toilet in cottage and an extra toilet outside in the laundry. There is a garage for storing bikes etc. A heat pump heats the area quickly and there is a heater in the bedroom if needed. The kitchen is equipped with basic essentials for your stay. All linen provided.
A quick walk down to the Sailing Club for coffee in the morning sun, or enjoy a glass of wine and pizza watching the sunset over the lake from the bar. A new Woolworths supermarket and shop complex with an Asian takeaway is a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute walk. Also a very good Fish and Chip shop close by.
Popular walking paths by the lake are just down the hill. The town centre is a 5 minute drive away along the lake front.

Small tidy back access to Taupo and Tongariro

Loved our stay in Taupo. House had all that we needed for three nights. Sailing club just down the road at the lake was great for beers and to watch the sunset. Easy access and location to all Taupo has to offer.

Absolutely wonderful

We had the most wonderful stay in this gorgeous property. Everything was better than we had anticipated and our only wish was that we had been able to stay longer. Great location, very private and secure. Charming garden, just the spot for a nice outdoor meal. The interior was warm and welcoming, nice eclectic decor and super comfortable bedding with quality linen. Would highly recommend

Great little hide away

Needed a place to say for the around Taupo bike race. It had a garage to lay out my bike bits which was great. Very quiet back section, private lots of trees. House is lovely, well appointed warm and inviting. Enjoyed my time there.

Kiwi cottage

Cottage was an older, traditional Kiwi bach. Quiet and peaceful position, within easy walking distance to the lake. The outdoors were extremely well maintained. The cottage was compact, clean and comfortable. It was well stocked and had everything we needed.
