Ivy's cottage is private and peaceful set in a lovely garden surrounded by mature trees. Relax with a local wine or handcrafted beer on the deck or dine alfresco in the pergola.

The property is fully fenced with a private driveway and dedicated off street parking next to the cottage. Pets are allowed but please advise.

The cottage has Sky TV and free Wi-fi. Larger fridge now added and blackout curtains.

The kitchen is fully self-contained with everything you need should you wish to self cater. Tea and coffee are supplied.

A key lock-box allows for flexible arrival and departure times.

The owner is available should you require help or have any further questions.

Average accommodation, the bathroom needs a deep clean. Lots of mould and dust. The mattress is very hard. The grounds are uncared for, lots of weeds. The cottage is very cluttered. Kathy was friendly and helpful when we couldn't work the TV.

I'm glad you enjoyed the location but I'm not sure what you mean by "impersonal". We provide a range of teas, coffee, milk and toiletries. All linen is supplied as well as a fully equipped kitchenette. Otherwise it is as in the photos so I'm not sure what you would need to feel welcome. Perfect for a quick night stop on the way from the ferry and on to Auckland. Close to the main road but peaceful with lovely birdsong this morning.
