Great property hidden away. Dont have to worry about seeing anyone else and great views of the ocean. Property owners made everything easy and even shared a local event that was occuring during our stay.

From the Owner: "Thank you, sir, and glad you had a wonderful time! Hope you have a chance to experience our Downeast sanctuary again soon!"
Cozy, new interior, modern appliances, fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the waterfront, proximity to state park and the gas fireplace. Very quiet and peaceful.
This is an immaculate Oceanside home with spectacular views and all the comforts of home. Secluded, It’s like having the entire beachfront to yourself. It is immaculate with a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious bathroom/shower. Exceptional communication with owner/caretaker.
The locale is absolutely beautiful and private, with a lovely long rocky beach. I recommend bringing binoculars to view the many and various seabirds and seals, especially upon return to the abode; So many wonderful picture windows. While the desire for security is understandable in this secluded place, and presence of cameras was divulged in the profile, in reality I personally felt uncomfortable with them (I’m a Mainer). Perhaps if located on the road would feel less intrusive than around the house. The space itself was very clean, spacious and well appointed far beyond necessity. When in a place surrounded by nature, I would however prefer to feel more nature rather than technology. That said, having WiFi at such a location was definitely a luxury. Re: tech, the heating system was extremely loud and unfortunately woke me many times during the night throughout my stay. If visiting in-season this of course would not be an issue. You would also be able to have the windows open to hear the ocean and smell the air!Due to unfortunate circumstances, the gas fireplace was broken. I was alerted to this only one day before my departure, as well as potential for navigating muddy road. Was looking forward to the fireplace, especially in such weather that April in Maine offers! The offer of 2 future nights (May or Sept) was a nice gesture, but not optimal.Re: road, if you arise early enough the ground will be near frozen. My front wheel drive did fine.

Nice quiet place
My wife and I stayed for two nights at the end of March. The dirt road was fine at that time and could be easily be driven in a car. The cabin has a long driveway (right of way) through the woods to the cabin on the ocean front. About half a mile from the main dirt road and easy to find. You should be able to drive that road in a car if you drive slowly. We did not encounter any snow but it was quite cold the two nights we were there. The cabin is really a two bedroom and 1.5 bath house with a loft. It is really nice inside and must not be too many years old. The house is a little chilly on the main floor during the winter, but nice and warm on the second floor loft. The bathroom and shower are really nice and warm. The hot water in the shower seems to last forever and one never wants to get out on a cold day. The bedroom on the main floor is a queen bed and is really warm and comfortable on a cold night. Upstairs are two small kids beds, a half bath, and a play area with games for kids. No TV with satellite in the house but there is a TV for video games upstairs. The wifi works really well. The view is really great from the house and the front yard. You can take some stairs down to the shore. The house and location is absolutely quiet at night. When the furnace or an appliance comes on at night, breaking the silence, it first makes you nervous because it might sound like a vehicle coming down the driveway, but rest assured, it is not. You can always close and lock the gate at the beginning of the driveway. There are no dangerous animals in the woods. In summary, it is very quiet and isolated, has a great view, and the house is very nice and modern.
