About this property
Private 2 bedroom 2 Bathroom house with elevated view of Atlantic Ocean. Wifi,
Quaint Maine coast two bedroom, two bathroom modern home with excellent Wifi. Speed rating of 200 up and 10 down allow to stay connected and even have zoom calls but you really should just unplug! The house is set on a small hill with a wooded backyard and a front facing view of the Atlantic. New updated appliances in 2023! Large front lawn for tossing a football or frisbee with friends. The master bedroom with private bathroom on second floor, additional bedroom on the first floor. 2nd Bathroom also on second floor. Full kitchen, large 10x20 deck on the front to enjoy sipping coffee as you are one of the first in the US to watch the sunrise. Sunset reflections on the ocean can be stunning in the evening. On a clear night I dare you to find a more stunning sky of stars. Grab a chair and watch falling stars or find every constellation you only have seen in books.
Watch local lobsterman gather the mornings catch and tend traps from the deck. Kayak Starboard Cove or walk Jasper's Beach and find your own beautiful Jasper rocks used around the world for fine art and jewelry. 75 miles away is an easy trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, a top US attraction. Hike Cadillac mountain (or drive up!) bring your bikes and ride the famous carriage trails that the Rockefellers installed back in the early 19th century.
Miles of converted railroad tracks make up the Down East Sunrise Trail system. A major attraction for ATV enthusiasts located in Machais 10 miles away. Rent a 2 or 4 passager ATV in town and explore 90 miles of ATV trails with coatal views. This also offers excellent biking on well maintained dirt trail. Don’t leave out the chance to explore the water with a kayak tour or rent your own from sunrise canoe and kayak in Machais, A trip to town is not complete without having a great meal at Helens Restaurant. At the very least you must have the Blueberry Pie made with world famous local berries. Of course its Maine so be prepared for weather. We can have a hot muggy day then fog engulfs us the next. Its all part of the experience.
Quoddy Head State Park is located four miles off Maine Route 189 in Lubec on the easternmost point of land in the United States. On its 532 acres, purchased by the state in 1962, the park features 4.5 miles of hiking trails, extensive forests, two bogs, diverse habitat for rare plants, and the striking, red-and-white striped lighthouse tower of West Quoddy Head Light. With its diverse landscape, breathtaking views, scenic picnic sites, and opportunities for hiking and whale watching, Quoddy Head State Park is a fun and fascinating destination for visitors to down east Maine.

About the host
Hosted by Donna Pagnano
This home was built on family farm land that surrounds this property. Many of my relatives still live in the homes around it. The large rock in front of the deck is dedicated to my mother. She and her twin sister would sit in this very spot as children. We hope you enjoy our home and find the change of pace a great way to recharge and enjoy the small things.
Why they chose this property
Ive always found the place to be very peaceful. I often thought how this would be the perfect spot for a writer, painter, musician to be inspired to find something more. I loved how when my children were young they would do simple things and find such joy. Collecting sea-glass or finding the perfect flat rocks on the beach to take back and paint. Sometimes less is more.
What makes this property unique
On a clear night you can't find many places with a more dazzling sky of stars.
