Little House at the Horseshoe, Tuki Tuki Valley. The perfect escape!
Surrounded by historic farmland and magnificent views, The Little House invites you to shake off the shackles of a busy life and unwind in Hawke's Bay's idyllic Tuki Tuki Valley.
Nestled behind Te Mata Peak, guests at The Little House will enjoy the charming, rustic surrounds offered by this iconic location. Enjoy exclusive private access to a world renowned fly-fishing spot, or soak up the views from the elevated picnic platform which has a fire-pit (when permitted) and a festoon of solar lights, or in the glorious open-air bathtub. Cook outdoors on the barbeque or prepare simple fare inside in the little kitchenette.
The Little House has been relocated and restored to create a luxurious and cosy interior, using natural and recycled materials to minimise the environmental impact wherever possible. It is perfectly set up for cosy escapes mid-Winter as well as adventurous mid-Summer escapades.
The Little House is surrounded by working farmland. This does mean that there may occasionally be noises from farm animals: moo-ing cows, baa-ing sheep, neighing horses and sometimes barking dogs etc. Welcome to the countryside!
We are just minutes from the world famous Craggy Range Winery and Black Barn Market, and even have a wonderful espresso bar just down the road. While you are hidden away in the countryside, civilisation is just minutes away.
If you prefer to get closer to nature we are also just a short and scenic drive to two of Hawke's Bay's best loved beaches: Ocean Beach and Waimarama. The magnificent Maraetotara Falls are also not far and of course all visitors to Hawke's Bay must visit Te Mata Park which is just a 15 minute drive away.
So whether you are wanting to hide away in the countryside or discover everything Hawke's Bay has to offer, the Little House offers the perfect spot.

Only the best things to say about this place! We had such a fabulous stay at Fiona and Aaron's place. The setting was stunning and Fiona and Aaron were lovely and accomodating hosts. Highly recommended!

Cutest cottage
We loved our 3 nights in the cutest cottage So peaceful and relaxing looking up at the beautiful green hills while lying in bed or having breakfast on the front porch in the sunThe little fire makes the cottage super cosy and the outdoor bath is just magicBeing up the Tuki Tuki valley is like nectar for the soul
