The host was wonderful and helped us find the cabin when GPS gave less than adequate directions. We loved how secluded and private the cabin is. The hot tub is great! There’s a great grill and gas fire pit to enjoy on the nice deck. The cabin has everything you need—linens, an adequate kitchen (dish soap, pots, Keurig) and little extras that keep you from having to bring everything from home.

The view and hot tub were definitely the highlight of this house. The big thing was that the beds were super uncomfortable and loud. I feel like the house was not ready for guest. The hot tub water level was low, the grill/griddle was unclean and broken, and the floors weren’t as clean. They know there is an issue with not being able to find the house and we struggled to get ahold of the host. I have booked lots of houses through the other competitor and they have all been lovely, I will pass on Vrbo.

The views from the cabin are beautiful. The cabin was really cool with all the window views and the seclusion. Finding it was a little tricky with our GPS. It was pointing to a different spot right on the main road but we finally found it!

The location and views from the cabin were lovely. It was quite cold when we were there. The fireplace didn’t work and the mini-spit heater had a hard time keeping up. There were no extra blankets, no instructions for checking in or out in the cabin. We had an issue with the door system. Evolve did contact the property manager and she was quick to respond. The directions were off a bit and it took us a little bit to find the cabin. There are signs on the “drive” but we were not given the name on the signs and there were other driveways. Overall it was a great visit. Just a few improvements would make this a perfect stay.

Mrs Vonnie was a treasure to work with. I called day before we arrived. She made sure driveway was open from storm damage the week before. Mr and Mrs Gay walked me though over the phone how to light the gas fireplace. They promptly got maintenance to come out and thaw out frozen pipe to restore hot water. Cabin was located with good privacy and met all our needs.

Overall, cabin suited our needs. However, some maintenance and updates could be made. Deck and hot tub were a plus.

Amazing property! Secluded (in a good way) with great views and amazing outdoor space. Only minutes away from Black Rock Mountain State Park and 10 - 15 minutes from Clayton for anything you may need. Great wifi and dog friendly! The guest contact was also fast to respond when the porch light bulb burnt out. Would stay again

Myself, girlfriend and dog had a great time here, everything feels cozy and the hot tub was great after a long day hiking and on our feet. Everything was there that we needed to make the stay enjoyable. Only thing I would say that was not 100% was the hot water was hit or miss and the gas fireplace was not working at the time of our stay. For those with little to no off road driving experience I think the driveway could be challenging for the inexperienced but my front wheel drive car made it up both hills with a little bit of speed and steady throttle. If your looking for a private, relaxing spot to get away and unwind this will be a great place to stay and a central location for north Georgia/ southern North Carolina adventures.

Lovely, private cabin

My wife and I booked Randy’s place for a long weekend stay. The house was great and with a tremendous view. We enjoyed hanging out on the deck. Randy was responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay!

What an incredible place for a mountain getaway. We really were out in the wilderness and love it. Such a cozy little cabin in the woods that had everything that we needed for our anniversary weekend. But, it was still so close to Clayton for our anniversary dinner. I would highly recommend Stekoa Creek for a nice meal and experience. It was also close to great hiking and lakes for our paddle boarding adventures! We will come back again for sure!

Big Sky Ski Heaven

This house was perfect for a family ski trip. Excellent ski in/ski out location. Roomy and comfortable for a family to relax after a day on the slopes. The hot tub was the perfect place to unwind in the evenings. Amazing views out the large windows.

I really did enjoy this lil home away from home vacation for myself. The hot tub was lovley and the veiw was beautiful. Waking up with fog in the trees as the sun is rising was stunning. I only have 2 real isses. 1 being getting there was kinda confusing. I would definitely double check the directions with the host. I'm also kinda bad with directions if GPS can't lead me there so it was partly on me as well. And I do HIGHLY suggest having a 4x4. Road is narrow and you definitely can get stuck if it rains. I went in my lil tesla model 3 and I made it, but not without slipping on the gravel a few times. Just go slow and be in controle. Its worth the view and seclusion. And problem 2, For me personally, and maybe it is because I am a women, but be awear there are no curtains on any windows. The bathroom does have blinds but non of the windows in the bedrooms have curtains. Which is totally fine for some but with me being a women, I like having curtains, especially at night where I feel vulnerable. Other wise it was the perfect lil get away!

Relaxing and secluded

The cabin was great and as advertised! The hosts were very informative leading up to the stay without prompting which made it very easy to find and access. We enjoyed our time at the cabin relaxing and recharging. It is right next to a state park that we also enjoyed exploring. The drive to the cabin from the gate was longer and more rugged than I expected but it was fine for us and we enjoyed the seclusion and camping vibe it gave!

Our stay was perfect and we had such a great time. The cabin is beautiful and has all the features one would need to enjoy the stay. The privacy on the property was great for me, the kids and my dog to explore the trails that are a short hike from the cabin. The hot tub and grille were my favorites of the trip. Made for a good relaxing time at the end of the day exploring the local waterfalls, mountains and rivers. The driveway was steep and loose and required a steady throttle to leave the property but wasn’t a problem for us. Beds were comfortable, cabin was clean and well stocked. Great location for a central location for exploring the area. Randy went above and beyond providing check in instructions for the cabin and was a great host. We will definitely be returning guests.

Tranquil stay in the woods

We had a great experience! Communication was prompt and clear. The power went off briefly during our stay due to a wider network issue and the owner provided us with updates and helpful information. The private road to the property may seem daunting to city drivers but it’s worth the effort. It snowed our first night and the cabin had everything we needed to keep warm and cozy. It was a totally pleasant stay! We will be back

The cabin is beautiful and you feel like you are in a treehouse. We enjoyed the hot tub after some hikes and white water rafting. The road to get to the cabin was not the best and we spun out a bit in the gravel going up the hill to leave the cabin, but nothing major. We just aren’t used to it. We had a hard time finding the place initially because GPS wasn’t finding it but we were able to get in touch with someone immediately to help guide us. There was an issue with the A/C while we were there and they sent someone out to help fix it. We also enjoyed watching the woodpeckers!! Wish I’d brought binoculars! Overall great stay and super cute and unique place to stay.

Well I thought we might be stuck Sunday but Subaru made it up the 2 steep hills of the driveway. Nice cabin couch was very deep and comfortable we stay very warm with propane gas fireplace. So if the power had cut off we would still have heat and a stove.

Perfect private piece of heaven

Clean and comfy! 10 min drive to restaurants and a grocery store. 5 minutes from black rock state park, 15 minutes from Dillard, and 45 minutes from the Highlands. Several waterfalls within a short driving distance. Extremely private with long gravel driveway, no 4wd needed but could be intimidating for those not accustomed to driving on mountain roads. Hot tub was clean, nice porch and table top fire pit with great views. Our favorite part was all of the floor to ceiling windows. Though quaint the house was charming and well equipped with comfortable beds. Air conditioners work great! Great place to enjoy nature as we were visited by a young bear while enjoying our dinner. I can not say enough wonderful things about this property! Perfect for a couple or four guests. Host was extremely responsive and friendly. Easy self check in and out. We will definitely be back!
