Classic Byron house. Walk to corner cafe and beach. Close to everything.
Bring the whole family to this great place with huge tropical gardens. Huge front and back outdoor living spaces. Have a BBQ and dine on the large back deck, where you can also hang out on the daybeds. Relax in the front courtyard with a book and your morning coffee. Walk to Tallow Beach - 10 min on a beautiful bush track - or eat at the Roadhouse cafe at the corner of the street. We are close enough to everything to enjoy the best of Byron but away from the bustle and noise of the tourist centre of town. Everybody who come to this place loves it - a true oasis in Byron. NB we have an apartment attached to our house that is permanently tenanted. You can’t really see it - there is a fence and substantial planting - there is an entrance down the side of the building where our tenants access the apartment. It will not impact your stay but just be aware that there will be somebody walking down the right hand side of the building from time to time. You are unlikely to even see them and they will not intrude at all onto any of your space except maybe to plug-in an e-bike out the front near the carport.

About the host
Hosted by Catherine Coorey
We are a family of four who have lived here for 14 years – originally from Sydney. We love it here and we love being in this quiet part of Byron. We love the birds, the trees, the community. We are passionate about the environment and and active members of the community.
Why they chose this property
This is a great part of Byron – it’s generally pretty quiet and is away from the craziness that can happen sometimes in the middle of town. We can walk to Tallow Beach from where we are and there’s a great cafe on the corner. We’re still close enough to everything but far enough away to enjoy the tranquility.
What makes this property unique
Many holiday rentals are all designed the same way with beige coloured furnishings and boring predictable open “coastal” styling that is disappointing. We think our place has a bit more individuality in style – it’s our family home and it reflects who we are. If you’re gonna live like a local then that’s us. We weren’t styled by some bland property stylist.
