We were very surprised to learn in the review from Mike that he was not happy with the accommodations because we answered several questions for him while he was in residence and he never once mentioned anything cited in the review. The condo underwent a major renovation in late 2021 and early 2022. All decorations, appliances, furniture, and flooring was removed. It went from a drab, dated, studio/hotel-room style design to the vibrant, contemporary, one-bedroom with an open-concept living space. The king bed is flanked by nightstands, each outfitted with drawers guests can use for bedside storage of any personal effects. The shower/tub combo was replaced with a glass enclosed stand up shower. The vanity, formerly facing the hallway, was brought into the bathroom. The kitchen bar was removed and the appliances and cabinets were pushed back against the walls opening up the living space. There is hanging storage in the space between the bathroom wall and the shower wall. There is space where a couple can easily hang several outfits each. It is not a walk-in closet, so we can understand how someone would miss it – especially when your eyes are naturally drawn to the illuminated, heated toilet seat with an integrated bidet. 99% of our guests have enjoyed the set it and forget it convenience of the laundry machines being in the condo. Need to wash some clothes? Simply put in a load and head down to the beach. No need to hang around as you would have to if your only option was to use the community laundry facilities. When you're not using them, they're tucked away behind cabinet doors (as is three large drawers guests can use to store their clothes and/or personal effects). The air conditioning system is controlled by an Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium which will dim the screen when one is not interacting with it, but the system will continue to operate even if the screen is dimmed. The LG refrigerator features a twelve-cube tray and can produce between 50 to 110 pieces of ice within a twenty-four hour period. The amount of ice produced will vary based on room temperature, the amount of food stored in the freezer and the number of times the door is opened. The Samsung convection microwave, GE dishwasher and Hamilton Beach small electric appliances are fairly easy to use. If a guest has a question about an appliance, it is the Empava cooktop. We do provide a card with operating instructions right beside the cooktop. While the home does offer 530 square feet of living space, it is still a one-bedroom condo which we hear frequently from our guests that it is absolutely perfect for couples wanting to get away for a little escape to paradise or families traveling young children.
