The cottage was AMAZING! All details were exactly like the description says. Kitchen was stocked, beds were soft, towels and other essentials were provided, including beach towels and beach chairs along with the washer/dryer on site. This place is a true gem and Trish is a fantastic host!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was clean, well laid out, and full of natural light — especially in the dining/florida room. It had all we needed and then some! The fenced front yard was perfect for my dog to enjoy safely, he loved his first trip to the beach! The quiet neighborhood made for a relaxing getaway, and I loved paddleboarding right from the backyard while watching sea birds and stunning sunsets. The beach at the end of the road is also beautiful and a short walk or even shorter drive away. The hosts were friendly and communicated with us throughout our stay, making everything smooth and easy. We’d definitely stay here again!

Fleeing the Ohio frozen tundra at -5... we landed in the sand at a balmy 71. We waltzed into a DREAM the second we opened the door gazing at the serene Ochlocknee Bay. Relax and Refresh starts immediately in this perfectly renovated home. Identical master bedroom / bath suites complement each side of the dwelling. The open concept living room / kitchen / dining is spacious and inviting. The cocooning porch solarium has an extra bed, dining area, and lounging. The deck is divine for sunsets - catch peaks of the sunrise on the bay. We appreciated the laundry steps away and Walmart up the road. Everything we needed and more was included in this quiet escape for our month-long stay. We cooked and ate all our meals in this peaceful retreat. Lured to the phenomenal Forgotten Coast to hike and explore - We were amazed and blessed to conquer 200 miles of trails, forests, beaches, parks, and bluffs spying dolphins, egrets, anhinga, heron, roseate spoonbills, snakes, raccoon, deer, eagles, river otters, the elusive white squirrels, and gobs of gators counted 56 on one Saint Mark's hike!Kudos to our host, Trish, who is rapidly available with a fingertip text. Abundant thanks for your generous hospitality and warm welcome to Mashes Sands! We leave revived and grateful for this nurturing seaside sanctuary.

Relax and Refresh is a great place. We enjoyed the Florida room and the view! We saw dolphin swim past twice. Also enjoyed watching the birds! The house is clean and comfortable.well stocked with everything we needed. The fenced yard is great if you have dogs. Our only disappointment was to find out the deck is not attached to the dock shown in the pictures,and the dock is unavailable for use.

Magical Beach Cottage!

We had such a lovely time here! We spent a lot of time exploring the beach at the end of the road - so many hermit crabs and other neat beach creatures, especially at low tide! This very comfortable and adorable cottage was just the place to unwind, relax and ring in my 47th birthday with my husband and 12-year-old daughter. There are many delicious seafood restaurants nearby, we paddled the Wakulla River and visited the Gulf Specimen Marine Lab. So much nature and beauty to soak in!

Quite, secluded and beautiful views of bay.

Very quiet place. Extremely clean and well appointed. It smelled SO nice when we arrived. Very large bedrooms and comfy beds. We brought our two pups and having the yard fenced in was wonderful. The bay view from the cottage was A. Brought my 98 year old Mom so not having to navigate stairs was very helpful. Enjoyed our stay and highly recommend This place for someone looking for peace and quiet.

Perfect Getaway

We found the house to be very cute with 2 master bedrooms with complete bathrooms in both, kitchen and living room in the middle. We did not bring our doggie but the fenced in yard was clean and looked very safe to let your dog go out into. Large Florida room had a dining table for 6 and a twin bed for a nap for my mom. We fished from the beach behind the house. Highly recommend.
