Pelican Reef is a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, semi oceanfront cottage located at the end of a cul de sac in the village of Waves. Beach access is across the street- literally steps away. This cottage is newly listed on VRBO, and has been renovated in 2020 featuring all new stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, 65 inch smart TV, wifi, full size water and dryer, and a new deck. New flooring 2024.Enjoy fabulous ocean views, and sunsets over the sound. There is an outdoor shower and ample parking underneath the house. The three bedrooms consist of two queen beds and one bedroom with two twin beds. All bedrooms have memory foam mattress toppers and flat screen Roku TVs. Only bed linens are provided. Bath towels are available for rental. There is a screened in porch with additional seating and a porch swing. Underneath the house features a hammock, charcoal grill, outdoor shower, several beach chairs, umbrellas, awesome beach cart, corn hole, and tiki toss. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay including a vitamix blender, steam pot, air fryer, keurig and traditional coffee makers, and barware. The jellyfish table can glow in the dark if you shine a flashlight on them for just a few minutes. This cottage is less than half a mile from Pamlico Sound which is a world class destination for kiteboarding, windsurfing, and fishing. Upon arrival you will find a complimentary welcome package including one roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper, one bottle of dish soap, hand soap, and laundry detergent, 2 dishwasher pods, and a kitchen sponge in a reusable tote to help you get settled. This area of the Outer banks has unique restaurants, shopping, and a variety of things to do for people of all ages. The Rodanthe pier is a half mile to the north. We encourage you to view our other rental VRBO 707603 to read reviews on a very similar cottage that is located just steps away. Based on availability, these two cottages would provide the perfect solution for those traveling in larger groups so that everyone can have their own space yet still be together. The cottages are perfect for young families with a no traffic beach access. We are very responsive to all inquiries and are happy to answer any questions. Hope to hear from you soon. Rodanthe visit

My husband and I stayed a few days with our small dog. We thoroughly enjoyed the property. It was perfect for us! The location was fantastic and accommodations as expected. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the ocean on one side and the sunsets on the other. We walked on the beach (literally right across the street) in the mornings. The property was very pet friendly. We will definitely be back again!

Nice property ! Love the updates on the house . Very clear instructions on check in and check out. Comfy beds! Nice beach! Great stay! Great beach house

My family has been staying in Rodanthe since my sister and I were kids. The location of this property couldn’t be better, and the house is as cute as can be with plenty of amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful

Pelican Reef is a beautiful place to stay, directly across a dead end street from the beach. The deck was amazing to sit on and listen to the ocean waves. The house was so cute and just the right size. We would definitely return again.

Perfect Vacation!

We had the most enjoyable stay at Pelican Reef. The house was clean, comfortable, and close to not only the beach, but also restaurants and local shops. The proximity to the ocean was ideal and everything worked exactly as described in the online representation. The owners were prompt in answering any inquiries and made sure accommodations met our needs. I would recommend this location to anyone I know, and I would definitely book again!

I wanted to buy the beach cottage

An amazing beach cottage. Perfect size and location. Very cozy, well decorated. Kitchen is supplied with all you need to cook-in. I suggest the beach chairs and umbrellas be replaced...they are a bit worn out, but I would definitely stay again.

Pelican Reef = 10/10!

This property was BEAUTIFUL. A quant beach cottage located very close to the beach. It was perfect for our family and our four-legged companions! The home was accurately advertised, and the home was pristine when we arrived. Whoever cleans the property following each rental deserves a raise! Looking forward to renting this property for future visits to Hatteras Island!

Lovely cottage, prime location

We greatly enjoyed our stay, and the house served exactly what we needed for our family of 5 + dog: super close walkability to the beach. The cottage was clean and adorably decorated, quiet surroundings, and quick responses from the owners. I would have liked a little more clothing storage options in the bedrooms/toiletry storage in bathrooms, but it worked for us. The screened in deck was very relaxing at the end of the day or to read on one of our rainy days. Definitely worth staying here!

Great family vacation near the beach

We really enjoyed our stay as a family of 4, including our dog, at this beach house in Rodanthe. It was the perfect size for us and had some nice features with the newer appliances, screened in porch, and outdoor deck. Great location just a couple minute walk to the beach. We'd never stayed this far down in the Outer Banks and really enjoyed the peace and quiet along with the beach nearby. A few good restaurants are in the area and Nags Head is only about 30 minutes away if you need more options or things to do as well. Owners were great and gave us all of the information needed prior to arrival, so we really didn't need much else once we got there. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice place very close to the beach with your family.

Memory making cottage

This cottage will make you feel like you stepped into an HD TV show when walking in. You’ll be just as delighted after finding everything that you need in the kitchen and the beach, sleeping in a very comfortable bed, awakening to the sound of the waves beckoning and going to sleep the same way. The property owners are delightful and even communicated a warning about the riptide to us concerned with safety. An unexpected treasure on the outer banks and deserves far more than five stars.

Great house!

Location is great! House is decorated beautifully. The house has all you need. Can’t beat beach access and the beach is great, not too crowded, always in front row. Clean beach and beautiful sea with mid waves. Tip: take your groceries. Every nearby place for grocery is incredibly expensive. Wallmart and food lion is a 40 min drive no one wants to do after a long car trip. Great communication with host. Thanks!!!

Nice family vacation

We were excited about the location of the house right next to the ocean and it was indeed wonderful. We could walk to and fro in our swimwear multiple times throughout the day. The outside shower with hot water and hose were very convenient. The patio was our favorite place in the morning (you can see some ocean, lusten to the waves, and watch the sunrise right there!) and in the evening (when the sun was on the other side and it was shady and breezy). We found the beds very comfortable and the house cozy and clean. Although the kitchen was missing some items, it was well equipped and we managed without (we’ve shared the list with the owners). Overall, we enjoyed our time and would recommend the place to friends.

Little details make big difference

We enjoyed our stay very much at Pelican Reef. It was fully stocked in the kitchen with everything you need to cook. We played the games that were provided and used some of the sand toys and beach chairs that were offered to us to use. We were very impressed. We rented a surf board for the week and since the location is so close to the beach, it made it easy to go out for a quick surf. One thing to note, is that towels are not included which was mentioned in the posting but that also means dish towels, wash clothes, and hand towels which I did not think to bring. So hopefully this review will help future renters. Again great location and a fully stocked home made it a great trip for our family.

Fun beach stay

Cozy home located in between two RV parks. Beach was crowded in July due to the location of the RV parks to the left and right. The beds are very comfortable!! The linens were great as well making it a restful vacation. The home was welcoming and very clean. We did experience some theft there as someone took my sons brand new beach shoes that we purchased the same day. Otherwise, we had a great stay!!

Nice Getaway

Our family really enjoyed our stay this week. The house was decorated cute/beachy. It had all the cookware you’d need, comfy screened in porch and a deck to sit and relax as well.
