Beautiful location, very peaceful and loved the fantails and wood pigeons, awesome sauna and great outdoor shower - would highly recommend if you want a nice relaxing holiday.
Such a unique and wonderful spot. No need to leave as everything is right at your fingertips, starlit baths, sauna booster mornings, orchard jaunts, ocean views, chorus of bird life, candle light shadows adding magic to the moments, fireside dinners, the perfect place to hold us in absolute bliss and reset mode. Thanks for having us again!
This is a very special and different accomodation. A good place in nature to get away and have a good reset. Extremely peaceful and relaxing. Loved hearing the song of the birds morning and night. Enjoyed the outdoor bath and melted in the sauna! Loved how so much thought and effort has gone into this wee setup:) Also enjoyed strolling through the orchard. We will definitely be back :)

The place was unusual and very peaceful. We had an amazing stay and will be back. The sauna experience was a highlight. The position up in the hills with its expansive views was breathtaking.
Lovely. This place is not a luxury hotel. But it has what you need and it has heart. A truly peaceful and soulful place. A beautiful setting, so many birds and an incredible view. I was concerned about the composting toilet but it is totally civilized with a sink and running water. Smelled better than most indoor baths. We did not use the sauna as the weather was quite warm and sunny but it looked charming. There was a fire laid in the wood stove and the wood boxes were filled with split wood, vase of fresh flowers on table. Lots of nice little touches.
A very special place. Perfect spot to ‘get away from it all’. Plenty of fires to be lit, birds to watch, and relaxing to be done. Super easy comms with Elena too. Cheers!
This place has amazing views, out over the bay, tons of bird life and plant life galore. The building itself is like a step back in time. It is quite the experience. Be prepared for a bit of work lighting and keeping fires going and the compost toilet is upstairs above the house. So it might not suit everyone. Would highly recommend taking a torch or three and plenty of warm clothes for the morning and evening. Once the fires cranked inside it's toasty as and it would of course depend on the time of year. ,In short, loved it and would go back. With torches and maybe a porta potty for the middle of the night
The property has a charm and delight that we enjoyed It was very apparent that the host paid attention to preparing the property so we could have a relaxed stay. There was plenty of firewood and mowed pathways to wander down. The fire bath by star light was an exquisite experience, the outdoor shower amidst the Kawakawa tree a delight. Huge gratitude.
