About this property
Beach house with sauna. Stunning views, cosy renovated mid-century gem
You'll be captivated by the stunning views from the moment you enter this renovated mid-century family beach house.
Drift asleep to the sound of lapping waves and wake to spectacular sunrises over the water and the ever changing kunanyi/Mt Wellington. Relax and soak in the ever-changing vistas, or discover the private beach path at the bottom of the garden. From here, adventures await – the beach, bushwalks and cafes are all a short stroll. It's a 15 minute drive to Hobart and a great launching pad to explore Bruny Island and Tasmania's deep south.
Thoughtfully renovated and styled to honour the mid-century design, character and charm are blended with modern comforts.
The house spans two levels and can accommodate groups of up to eight making it perfect for families or groups of friends.
The upper level is open plan with kitchen, dining and living areas spilling on to a large entertaining deck. The master bedroom, second bedroom, separate bathroom and toilet are also on the upper floor.
Two more bedrooms are located on the lower level along with a large bathroom and sauna, laundry, and family room. Bifold doors open on to the lower deck, patio.
Guests are free to explore the sloping landscaped garden, containing our chicken run (with fresh eggs if you're lucky!) paved seating, outdoor shower and resident wallaby family.
Kingston Beach is a popular destination for ocean swimming, kayaking, sailing, walking/running and all manner of outdoor activities. The Salty Dog Hotel, cafes and restaurants are all a short stroll away offer great dining experiences.
